I grew up in the country, my family regularly took in cats and dogs that others had abandoned. Our pets were always treated with love and were part of our family. At the end of 2017 my son and I adopted our little chi-weenie from the SPCA. He made himself quite comfortable instantly living with us. He is like a child to me. More than ever, I know now that pets do more for good for humans than they get credit for. Pets should always be a priority and never taken for granted.
