Pet care experience
I am available for pet sitting while you're away, and am happy to come to your home 3-4x per day to feed, walk, exercise, and entertain your dog. I am also available to come by on weekdays for midday walks while you're at work if needed. I love all types of dogs, and have experience with a variety of temperaments. I have owned a variety of breeds in the past, and have experience with canine medical issues including administering medication. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since childhood, and have always had family pets around including a golden retriever, a golden/lab mix, and an english setter. My experience administering medication I previously owned a dog that suffered from epilepsy, and was used to administering daily pills. I also have some experience giving injections, but ask that you show me your method before you leave your dog in my care, so as to minimize stress to the animal.

I am comfortable with all breeds, but it would be important for me to know about your dogs habits before I sit for you. If you get up early and leave for work, I would want to know so that I can come earlier in the morning for the first walk of the day. Dogs tend to get stressed when their owners are away, so I like to stick to a schedule as close to your own to minimize the adjustments your pet has to make. This is especially important if your dog requires medication. I want to be sure I get your timings right!
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog When you are away for longer stretches of time, I plan 4 visits a day (morning/midday/early evening/night), and can guarantee feeding on your schedule (usually two meals a day). I will let the dog out each time I visit, and will take the dog for a 0.5-1 mile walk 2x per day. During the two daily visits when I do not walk the dog, I will give the dog 10-15 minutes of play time. If your dog is used to shorter or longer walks, just let me know. I'm happy to accommodate.
