We had high hopes that Elizabeth would be a good fit for our pet and house sitting needs, but unfortunately we ended up being disappointed. First of all, she did not show up for our first meet and greet and it took me reaching out to ask what had happened to receive any communication from her. We were eventually able to meet and engage her services. When we left on our first day, I had thought we would receive some sort of communication from her indicating that she had arrived. Again, I had to reach out and ask for information. The rest of the week Elizabeth did communicate, but it felt perfunctory and limited. I never received information on how much or how well the animals had eaten. I just got some pictures of my dog and a few pictures of the cats. It seemed like she spent minimal time with the animals, and was juggling other pet sitting jobs at the same time. We honestly were not even sure she stayed in the house. I hired her with the understanding that she would perform some house sitting duties like bringing in the mail and watering the plants. This was left in my written instructions to her. I had to ask again to get information about my cats, and I was concerned about them. We arrived home to find that she had not brought in the mail or watered the plants, she had spilled food on the floor by the couch and left it to dry without wiping it up and it was crusted into the cracks of the floorboards. One of our dining room chairs had broken rungs as well. Overall we were not pleased with the quality of Elizabeth’s services and we would not rebook for this reason.
