Pet care experience
I've been running, walking, and pet-sitting dogs since I was ten. I love running with high-energy dogs like labradors and collies (I can run about 4 miles in 30 min), but I've also walked cats and 15 year-old golden retrievers, so I also know how to be patient and go slow. I'm attentive to each dog's individual personality and try to focus on what they want to do that day, especially when it comes to play time vs. cuddle time. I'm good with challenges--I've looked over a mother with a new litter of puppies for two weeks, and dogs with storm and separation-anxiety for over a week in monsoon season. I’ve also helped a breeder whelp several litters and cared for pets right after major surgeries.

The best
Elizabeth sat Remy in my home, and was amazing. Remy can be very anxious and shy and within a short time I received a photo of him sleeping in her lap. She also left my place in perfect condition, taking care of it like she would her own.
Elizabeth was absolutely amazing to my little puppy. We needed a sitter for the day and she pulled through for us. She’s extremely trustworthy and knows exactly how to care for dogs. I honestly think I could learn from her as I raise my first puppy, haha! Thanks so much Elizabeth, my fiancé and I will definitely contact you for future babysitting!
We had Elizabeth take care of our dog Sophie and our home for the weekend. Sophie was very happy to spend time with Elizabeth, she was great with her! Elizabeth also took great care of our home. Will be using her again in the future

I prefer to walk dogs solo so I can be more attentive to them and our surroundings, but if you have multiple dogs that enjoy walking together I am happy to take them out at the same time! If you have a fenced yard I will spend time with them outside whenever the weather permits. Sorry, but for safety’s sake I do not let dogs off-leash unless I know them very well, they are extremely responsive to commands, and we are in an east recall area like a dog park. I’m used to kennel-trained dogs, so I’ll be comfortable sticking to any routine they may have involving crates.

If I'm walking the dog, I like to know how they act around other people (especially kids) and animals (especially other dogs) and how leash-trained they are. If I'm playing or sitting, I like to know their favorite toys and other likes and dislikes, house rules, and anything about their daily schedule such as food and potty times. If they have any triggers please let me know so I can work around them.
A typical day
I love playing tug and fetch at nearby parks, running and walking dogs around the neighborhood, swimming with dogs at the beach, and OF COURSE giving them lots of love, belly rubs, and cuddles, if they want them.

Availability
I am currently a graduate student in neuroscience, so during the school year I don't have much time in the middle of the day. (I also might be slower to respond during work hours, and I apologize!) My work hours are fairly flexible though, so if your pets can only be left for a few hours at a time I can do my best to accommodate that. Early mornings, evenings, and weekends are relatively free and I would love to take care of your animals then! Please let me get to know your pets and enrich their day :)
