Your go to dog lover-I mean walker!

Pet care experience

Hello! I'm Lizzy, I've been working with Rover since March 2016. I have two of my own dogs, two small rescues- we're constantly at the Fremont Dog park or on our own walks! Before moving to the bay I managed a small dog day care in San Diego. I would play with the dogs and make sure everyone was comfortable and safe. I was walking, feeding, giving medications. It was the best job I ever had, until I found dog walking itself; working with animals, has always been a really special thing for me. We connect on a particular level and really understand each others similar energy and communicate together easily. I have experience with all different breeds and sizes, needs (anxious or reactive), and energy levels. Whatever your pet needs while you're away, I can make it happen. Let me give you the peace of mind of knowing your pet is in competent, caring hands.

I have had my fair share of misfortunes with pet sitters :( It's incredibly difficult when you aren't home (or worse, in a different state) and something isn't going well. I promise to always care for your pet when I have agreed to; I will never close the booking if I have not completed what we agreed on. I promise to provide the utmost care and respect to your pet, and while I am with them I will be fully present in the situation, looking out ahead for you pets safety! When possible I avoid crowds, other pets (especially those off leash), areas with high amounts of rubbish on the ground, construction, loud noises, and heavy street traffic. I want this to be a completely comfortable and carefree experience for you and your furry loved one! I want to take all the worry away and let you know that this is going to be great :)

Information Elizabeth P. would like to know about your pet

I want to know everything! What are your baby's favorite games, spots for naps, any allergies? Your pets basic background (age, breed and such) is very important, and anything about their behavior would help too! Does Bella like to play with other dogs or is she a little less friendly? Do strollers or baseball caps raise any flags? Does Bear know any crazy ways to get onto the counter or how to work the dog proof garbage can lid? How does Jack feel about water?! Any info on your dog that you can give me helps me make your dog more comfortable in your absence and helps strengthen our relationship at a better, faster rate!

A typical day

The walks will take place around your home or in a near by residential area, away from traffic. I always have my own doggie bags and healthy delicious simple ingredient treats- why should I use yours when mine are tax deductible? <3 With your approval, the dog park is a wonderful place to go for dogs to socialize and have fun. There are many reasons for dogs to be less social. Dogs of certain ages or with specific temperaments or chronic pain, for them, staying in could be a better way to spend their time. I love sitting on the couch and giving tummy rubbs, playing games and tossing a ball are always great too!
