In my childhood, I grew up with a "zoo" of dogs, cats, birds, fish, and reptiles. After working at a private no-kill shelter for several years in the Bay Area, I learned how to provide quality care for dogs, cats, and the occasional exotic animal that came through our facility as well as how to adapt their care for various life stages. I will make sure your dog(s) are safe and well-cared for while I am watching them, whether it is in my home or yours. I am also able to drop-in for walks, or feedings on short-notice, as I have a car and I am glad to discuss with you the particulars of your dog's needs, even on short notice so please message me to discuss any questions you may have!

Elizabeth took good care of "Chewey" while we were gone for three nights. She took him to the dog park and for a walk in a neighbor park. She sent us photos of him each day. She was very friendly and courteous.
I booked Elizabeth for the first time to watch my two dogs and I will definitely ask her again. She is very punctual and sweet to my dogs and also very professional. I'll for sure have her watch my dogs in my upcoming trips. She took the time to rub my dogs Jackson's and Junior's belly and made them feel comfortable while I was away, plus she sent me updates and photos of them that treasure me that they were ok and happy. I had contacted several possible sitters in my area to watch my dogs for a weekend as a test for a longer trip later this summer. I was declined by a few due to my dogs special needs. One of my dogs has a heart murmur and Coco has had both rear legs operated on. Elizabeth was not only the closest sitter to my residence but was home full time and could devote the time to care for my two dogs. My husband and I take our dogs everywhere with us and so it was very hard to leave them even for a few days. Elizabeth sent us updates and photos all weekend long which was very reassuring. I would highly recommend Elizabeth, she is very kind and seems to truly love dogs.
It was hard to find a sitter willing to take both of my dogs, who are older with health issues. Elizabeth was very kind and patient, she sent me pictures all weekend long and assurances that my dogs were well cared for. We rarely leave our dogs with anyone (only once or twice a year). Both were happy, clean and seemed well fed and rested after their weekend with Elizabeth.

Ideally I would like to set a meet and greet - either with your pet(s) and my dog just to make sure there will not be any issues and you can see where your pet will be staying for a daycare or boarding in my home or if you want to schedule me for a house-sit or drop-in visit I will be happy to meet you at your home or wherever is convenient for you. Not all dogs get along with each other, it is the way it is with dogs sometimes and it is always better to be safe than sorry and this is why I am firm about meet and greets for both daycare and boarding in my home!
A typical day
I live near several parks in Orangevale, so I can take your dog walking from my home to a park just a few blocks away. My home is situated on a lot that is almost an acre, and there is a well-tended and fenced back yard for your pup to play in with my dog, if they all get along. Otherwise I set up structured outdoor play-time with each dog. If it is hot, I have a private luxury air conditioned guest room that is 100% dog friendly and your pet will be staying cool. I do make my own dog treats and "pupsicles" in several flavors for my own dog, and we are happy to share them with our guests. Most of our guests also enjoy hanging out and watching the aquarium we have set up in our great room, as the sound of water is really soothing.
