A home away from home!

Pet care experience

I have been caring for other people's animals since I was 10 and am almost done with my vet tech classes now, graduating (finally!) very soon! I grew up in a home where miniature dachshunds were bred (along with owning/being owned by other sized dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, birds) and through that gained the love and knowledge that led me to continue working with animals (of all types) today! I am a lover of big dogs and work with malamute rescues. I worked at Centennial Kennels in Maple Valley for many years before moving north and miss it dearly, but gained valuable amounts of knowledge about separation anxiety, boarding and animal health.

Elizabeth was awesome! She is professional and kind. Her and my little dog Joey got along right away. Her responses were quick and she was on time each day for the drop in visits. I will call her again the next time I need someone to take good care of my pets.

I had Elizabeth do a drop in visit on my dogs. I could tell from my meet and greet that she isn’t simply a dog lover, but also is knowledgeable. She’s so showed up on time, my dogs love her, and I will definitely be using her again

I am experienced with crating, corralling, convincing, tricking and teaching. At the kennels, we learned to use movements and tones that got the animals to listen to us the first time (minus a few tricksters, of course), and especially to follow what we learn from the owners about how they live with their pets about what does and doesn't work, and I do what I can to earn your trust and your pets.

Allergies!! Please be mindful to note ANY known allergies right away so we are aware! We're a house of treat-gifters and have tons of options to accommodate your pups diet restrictions! Any feeding instructions, medication instructions, and any aggression they may have (leash, food, other animal, toy possession, kids, men, etc.). Any quick notes about personalities are always appreciated, it's easy to cater to them right away if I go in knowing they're the couch-potato type or the, "Hey! Squirrel! Let's go!!" type. :) I absolutely can take in any breed, whether they're crate-trained, halfway trained, or the ones just starting out in the world. :)

A typical day

My past clients have gone on adventures near and far with me! We've been to the old military forts on the islands to Mt. Saint Helens to walk around the river and explore the area. I long term cared for a poodle that loved to just drive around so he could stick his head out the window and enjoy ice cold pupuccinos (per the owner, so I followed along!), and I love to compete with myself on daily step count so I love to find parks to just walk, walk, walk. Any requests by the owners come first and if open, adventures and photos will follow!
