Pet care experience
Update to my profile as of April 2023 - I am now in school and am not home much on weekdays. My schedule at school is Monday - Friday from 8am - 330pm, Wednesdays are 8am - 830pm. I am only able to house sit or board dogs that don't need to be with a human for these types of hours and don't have issues with separation anxiety, etc. I am available weekends. Creatures are my passion! I adore them! I am Pet first Aid Certified by St. John's Ambulance. I have experience pet sitting (long and short term), dog walking, and special needs care. I love hanging out with dogs! I love watching them learn new things, teaching them new things, basking in their love and letting them entertain me - the best kind of entertainment! I have volunteered at an exotic animal shelter where I learned about all types of animals from animal experts and biologists and some fascinating and unusual animals. I am open to taking care of your exotic pets too! I currently live in a pet free home, although I have been a pet owner in the past. I live on the top floor of a quiet 2 1/2 story apartment building. I have a yard in the back where your dog and I can have some playtime. Your pet will never be left unsupervised unless it's in the safety of my home. If your pet has any special requests, (bathing, brushing, special activities, favorite games, oral medication) I am happy to fulfill those needs. My apartment backs on to the Humber River, where dogs can explore and meet new friends and maybe go for a swim! I live on a quiet residential street and cars on the road are usually scarce. The neighborhood is small and family oriented, with children and other dogs in the area. Your pet will receive an insane amount of love, pets, ear rubs, scratches, and massages during their holiday. I will do my very best to give your pet what he or she needs. If that means cuddling, great! If that means spoiling a clingy baby, wonderful! If that means distance and space, we can do that too! I am pretty versatile and I can give your dog whatever kind of physical exercise they may need, but also hang out with Netflix and snacks on the couch. I have little preference when it comes to animals and breeds. I will take in your cat, dog, hairless weirdo, reptile, gerbil, whatever. My only dilemmas (as an apartment dweller), are: Noisemakers. Some noise is to be expected, but because I have neighbors close by, a loud pet won’t be a good fit. Pets who like to mark inside. Most of my apartment is carpeted, and carpet and excrement are not the best combo. Aggression. If your pet can be verbally aggressive outside, that's fine. If your pet is physically aggressive or destructive and has been known to attack or hurt other humans or animals I will not be able to take them in.
Reviews
Elizabeth was amazing! This was our first time using Rover house sitting for our little 7 month old puppy Kyro. She arrived on time and was very professional and attentive! Kyro was very comfortable with her and we were able to enjoy an evening out knowing that he was in great hands! She is very friendly and followed all of our instructions! She communicated with us throughout the entire evening and even sent us a couple photos! Most importantly, Kyro really enjoyed his time with Elizabeth and seemed happy and relaxed! We will definitely be using her for our future sitting needs and will recommend her to all of our friends and family!
Liz is a true animal person. Our fur children were happy and our place was kept tidy. It was so easy.
Thank you Elizabeth. George had a great afternoon with you. You are so calm and laid back, I am sure George felt all your good vibes and qualities. I was so pleased that his first visit went well and encouraged that we will be able to book him with Elizabeth for another day in the future.
He loves you!

I have a dog-proofed home. I have a fenced backyard but no gates, so dogs who can be trusted can have (supervised) playtime. Or we can hang out in the yard on a secure line. I also have a large crate, suitable for a husky or golden retreiver sized dog. I also back onto a huge dog park, however, it is unfenced so I only take dogs there who I know very well or have excellent recall, permitted by their owners of course.

Information elizabeth o. would like to know about your pet
What I would like to know about your pet...so many things. I have a form which I will get you to fill out before the stay. It includes things like; emergency contacts, vet info, schedule for feeding and walking, behavioral issues, energy level, anxieties, allergies and health, or physical ailments or restrictions, etc.
A typical day
I love my neighbourhood! There are so many good dogs in the area, friendly people and lots of green space. I can see the Humber river from my window, it has excellent walking paths. There are forested aread too, which are so exciting for the dogs! I love taking them for extra long exploratory walks. If your dog likes to swim, the Humber river is a great place to cool off. Or the lake is a longer hike but always a treat. Sometimes we go for hikes outside the area, or visit a friend, or maybe for a romp around at High Park. I love teaching dogs new things, so sometimes i set time aside for that. House games are always welcome too! tug, fetch down the long hall, monkey in the middle, wrestling etc. We will spend lots of time being active!

I am currently in a full time school program, but apart from that I am generally at home studying. My schedule is better suited now for dogs that can be left home alone for a "work day."
