I've raised, trained and cared for many different breeds of dogs and cats. Over my lifetime I have raised from a pup several purebred sporting dogs as well as small companion dogs. Some of our family's most amazing dogs have been mixed-breed rescue dogs. Currently, I prefer caring for canine family members who are medically and/or emotionally fragile and should not be placed in a kennel while you are away. I find caring for animals with special needs to be very rewarding. I particularly enjoy giving a family pet with "behavioral problems", an opportunity to better integrate into society, enhancing both you and your pet's enjoyment of life together. Every "difficult" dog deserves the opportunity to communicate their needs. Please read my canine assistant BG's profile. She is my training partner and accompanies me on all jobs. Of course, I can also care for your other critters (cats, birds, tortoises, rabbits, etc.) should you have them while I'm in your home. I'm retired from the healthcare field and my time is flexible. While you are away your pets will get plenty of love, attention, and affection. I will monitor your home, bring in your mail and water your plants for you. I will administer medications and provide other specialized care for animals with special needs. Wound care and hospice care are services that I offer.
