Pet care experience
I love animals & love to be outside walking or hiking each day. Our family lives by the motto, "There is no bad weather, just bad clothing" so we are outside all year long. I have been taking care of dogs (my own included) for 20 years. I currently have an adopted 13 year old rat terrier, Lucy, who tolerates going on walks with me but much prefers to cuddle and get pet. I grew up with large dogs (labs) and my family also had a basset hound who passed away in 2016 at the age of 15. The last few years of his life did include quite a few health concerns so I am familiar with providing medication and modifying activities as needed. A typical day
It depends on the activity but the Waukee area has great sidewalks and paths to explore! For dogs with more energy, longer walks, catch, frisbee, and playing are all in my repetoire.

Availability
While I do work outside the home on a school schedule, my calendar reflects my current availability. I am available before/after work hours for walks/drop ins Monday-Friday and can be more flexible on the weekends.
