Pet care experience
I’ve been around dogs, and animals in general, since I was young. Even though I didn’t have a dog growing up, everyone always came to me for pet advice, training strategies, or facts about various breeds. All of the library visits and books Santa would give me were probably big indicators of how passionate I was about animals, and dogs especially. Even in elementary school, my friends would have me come over to help them train the new additions to their families. My friends still sympathize that I don’t have my own dog, so they will lend me their dogs for the day. So just for fun, I get to plan a day with just their dogs. We either have a day in the city checking out different neighborhoods, parks, and restaurants, or we go for hikes outside of the city and visit a beer garden. More recently, my friend has had two litters of puppies in the last 3 years so I’ve been lucky enough to watch the beginning stages of a puppy’s life. I helped her take care of the puppies a couple times a week until they were ready to be adopted. I don’t have much experience with senior care, but some of my friend’s dogs are getting older now, and if I take them for the day just to play and spend time with them, I definitely make sure we’re not engaging in activities like we used to back in the day, even if they want to, or just have nice relaxing days with them. I also horseback ride, so size is never an issue with me. I am short, but I’m comfortable with any type of dog. I just love being around all dogs :) Sidenote- After I have a day with my friends’ dogs, there’s always a guarantee that I have a stream of photos from our activities. So if you want additional pictures of your dog regularly, I’m your girl.

In the fifteen years that I have known Elizabeth, I have never known someone to love spending time with dogs more than she does. She cares for every dog that she knows as if it is her own and is equally enthusiastic with every new dog she meets. Elizabeth knows what it takes to care for a pup and is always eager to take on the responsibility. I would recommend Elizabeth to care for your dog without a bit of hesitation because I know that she would show it the care and love that she has shown every other dog she has ever met.
As long as I've known Elizabeth, she's loved animals and has always had a special kinship with dogs. Elizabeth has cared for my dog on multiple occasions, and she is extremely caring and trustworthy. There is no doubt in my mind that she will love, care for, and protect your dog.

Since I’m a teacher, I understand the importance of following certain structures and directions. I always want to be making sure I am following appropriate routines that households have with their pets. Once the dog(s) and I are ready to go, I make sure it’s a nice, safe, scenic, and enjoyable walk/run.

I’m a teacher, so I have the summers off! Typically I travel most of the summer, but with changes in travel this year, I am mainly staying in the area. It is my first time living in the city during the summer so I really wanted to take advantage by exploring more areas and doing more local activities. I’m hoping I can continue dog walking once school starts back up again as well.
