Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Elizabeth, I have grown up with many different types of dogs. In 2013, I bought my first dog Kayla and she was a Perro de Pressa Canario. She was trained as a PTSD – Service Dog. She moved with me in 2018 from Germany to the USA. Sadly, she passed away at the end of 2020. In February 2021, we adopted Leeni from one of our local animal shelters when she was about 2 months old. I have fostered different types of dogs and I loved my work as the Lead Kennel Assistant at the VCA North Idaho Animal Hospital. Due to my family situation, I had to give up my position to take care of my family. I am a Military Wife and mom of two. During your dog’s stay with me, we will do play time, take walks to our local island. I will plan a variety of activities for your dog depending on its age, health and activity level. Certifications: • Dog Obedience Trainer / Instructor • Fear Free Certification • Dog & Cat First Aid, • Care & maintenance Conference: • Dog Behavior Conference – by Victoria Stillwell Academy Webinars: • Your Dog smells: an exploration of K9 Nose Work and what it means for dogs and their humans, by Ann Waterbury • Spay / Neuter of dogs: What every dog trainer should know, by Daniela Zurr, Dr. of Vet Medicine • Competition Obedience, by Hannah Branigan • Setting up your own puppy class 1-3, by Caryn Charlie Liles Work Experience: • VCA North Idaho Animal Hospital – Lead Kennel Assistant • Panhandle Animal Shelter – Full Time Volunteer I am a home-staying mom of a 2-year-old one, your dog will have family excess 24h/day. Puppies are more than welcome. I have the time for every dog. Walks and playtime schedule will be worked out for each dog, depending on the age, activity level, and health status. We have a fenced yard, I will provide 3 walks in 24h depending on your dog’s health, age, and activity level. Your dog will be leashed on all walks. I recommend that your dog is UpToDate on his Parvo, Rabies, and Bordetella Vaccine, to keep themself and other borders safe.
Reviews
Elizabeth did the most incredible job watching our dog taco! We had to make an emergency flight to the East Coast. She worked with me trying to figure out the times last minute. Constantly keeping us updated with pictures and videos. She treated him like family! She even helped teach him how to jump through hoops and some agility training. We will definitely use Elizabeth again if we leave town. Thank you so much!!!!!
Elizabeth was a great caregiver for our dogs. She was attentive, responsible and flexible. Great communication as well, we received numerous pictures and videos throughout their stay. Will use Elizabeth again, and we highly recommend her!
Elizabeth was great! Our dog had a great time and was well cared for. Elizabeth was quick to respond when we had questions and was even flexible enough to extend our booking when we had something come up.
Elizabeth was great with Brady! He is really attached to our family and does not enjoy being left behind, but Elizabeth let him take his time to warm up to her dogs and the other two visiting dogs. Eventually he played a bit with all and relaxed. Elizabeth sent several pictures and a video so that I could see how he was doing while we spent time at Silverwood with our grandchildren. I will ask Elizabeth to watch Brady again!
