I Always Get The Animals’ Votes

Pet care experience

Dogs & cats hear the subvocal invitation to my lap. If I were running for ‘dog catcher,’ I guarantee you hands-down that I would win your dog’s vote. I think that’s because they can sense I care about their physical — and yes — emotional well-being. Anybody who says animals don’t have feelings is a pox on society. My ex husband says I always picked the most pathetic pet from the shelter & healed them back to health, and my daughter says I have an ‘ineffable’ quality that animals are drawn to. Suffice it to say I like their company, and they are gratified to be welcomed. I welcome your pet into my life too. They will return home happy and content. And I’ll have won one more vote for ‘dog-catcher.’

Elizabeth C got the date of our appointment wrong. I called when she didn't reach out to confirm she was on her way. Happens to everyone. Then I gave her the wrong address. The address was 3 minutes away, but also contributed to the 40+ minute delayed start time. It is what it is. For me, she was very abrupt and blase about my concerns for my pup. He had vomited that day and was a little lathargic. I asked her to please watch out for any troubling behavior. Later in the evening, I messaged her I would drop in for a minute on the puppy cam. I told her exactly where it was in the living room. She "liked" my message so I checked the camera. I was so upset, I almost left dinner. He was jumping around on his hind legs, next to the couch, trying to get her attention for awhile. She was on the phone (totally fine) and completely ignored him. She did not even reach down to pet him. Then he ran around the ottoman and either tried to or did successfully lick the bottom of her shoes. I asked her to please take them off as he is not fully vaccinated. Her shoes were by the door when I got home. I came back from my family dinner and introduced her to my mom and sister. She was turning the camera from facing the wall, where she moved it. ( I didn't know she had moved the camera as I only checked in the one time that she cosented to) I asked her how he was and she said he was kind of wild and informed me there was some water over there or maybe he peed and walked to the door. She came back to the living room to say she would adjust the reservation to account for her tardiness. I told her I was fine with the reservation as is. She insisted. I am pretty sure she ignored my 3 month old pup the whole 2.25 hours I was gone. I don't expect anyone to be engaged with my pup every minute of the reservation, but for a few hours you can give him some attention. When I left he was on the couch with her happpily sniffing around, but 30 min later he was on 2 legs jumping around, yipping for her attention. If he's "wild," put him in his crate to settle or his gated play area, where his toys are. I regret hiring her.

Elizabeth was amazing with Milo! She took excellent care of him while I was away for work; definitely helped put my mind at ease that he was being well taken care of during my trip!!

My 5 month old puppy was so excited to be back at Elizabeth's house! She ran up to her and gave her a happy greeting! Didn't miss us at all. I think she wanted to stay there! We will definitely ask her to watch Zeever again.

Elizabeth is wonderful! My 4 month old puppy loved being at her home. I felt safe with the wooden fence enclosing the back yard. Would definitely recommend her !
