Compassionate Companion Care

Pet care experience

*Due to Complications from an Infection after Spinal Fusion Surgery, I've found myself reliant on a Wheelchair and Walker. This change in my mobility may or may not be permanent. At this time, I can no longer navigate stairs or drive, which puts my status as a Rover Sitter on an indefinite hold. To my repeat clients, I miss you and your kids so much, and am working hard in hopes that one day I can again be of service to your families â—‹â—‹â—‹â—‹â—‹ I have 40 years of experience with the care and companionship of dogs, cats, birds, fish, and small livestock like: chickens, geese, rabbits, and goats. I have some experience with Exotics, as mom to a 27 Year old Blue-fronted Amazon Parrot. I have a flexible lifestyle that will help me accommodate your needs be they simple or more complex. I am versed in dispensing medications, giving subcutaneous shots, and will happily care for your companions, young or old. I am prompt, considerate, and respectful of others privacy. Drop-in clients can expect their animals will be fed (if needed), provided with fresh water, and taken out for potty and play time (if needed), in addition to lots of cuddles. House-sitting clients will find I care for your home, plants, and animals as if they were my own. I am also more than willing to cook fresh meals for overnight clients if their dietary needs go beyond a simple bowl of kibble. Multiple animal families are my specialty. Please have carriers available for cats & small critters. Please have a well fitted harness and sturdy leash available for all dogs.

Our pups (and us) love Elizabeth! She cares for our puppies each time we are out of town. She takes great care of our babies and sends frequent pictures and updates so we know they're doing well. She's very flexible and accommodating with last-minute requests. I highly recommend Elizabeth!

Beth was absolutely wonderful! It’s hard to find someone to care of our very high maintenance kitties since one has diabetes, but she did great! She’s very thorough and made sure we knew how the cats were doing each visit. Would highly recommend her!

Elizabeth was amazing. This is the first time we have ever left the babies without family and it was quite a stressful time for us. When I met with Elizabeth to see if it was a fit, I instantly knew she was the one we needed for our babies. When we left, she was at the house when she said, she checked in daily with sweet little updates, and sent pictures frequently. We are also in the middle of selling our home so during open houses and showings, she took the little ones of fun adventures and walks to keep them happy and out of the house. When we arrived home, the home was kept very clean and in better shape than when we left. The babies were super excited to see us but will definitely miss Elizabeth. Thanks Beth!! We will definitely use you again in the future and will send your information to anyone we know in need!

This was our first time using Rover. Naturally, my anxiety was high but I had read Elizabeth’s reviews and wanted to give this a try. It went wonderfully. We set up a meet and greet prior to the actual dates and she was able to meet all of our dogs and bond with them. She was patient and calm which helped to ease everyone. We received daily updates complete with pictures every time she dropped in. This way we were able to relax on our getaway knowing that our pups were taken care of. My family will definitely be using her again when the need arises. I am so grateful we found her through the Rover app!

We will need to meet, preferably in a public place, before proceeding to your house to meet your companions and go over care specifics. I will not accept clients whose dogs free-range. You must have a fenced yard or active underground fence with collars OR your dog will be walked on leash. Please note, this means the dog needs to be able to poop, pee, walk, and generally behave while on a leash. I ask that harnesses & leashes be provided for all dogs and carriers provided for all cats or small critters, in case of Emergency. Please provide at least 1 emergency contact, besides yourself, who is willing to act on your behalf if veterinary decisions need to be made and you cannot be reached. Please call your Veterinary Office, in advance to your departure, have a payment plan in place with them, and let them know who will be caring for your animals. I can water plants and small gardens. Additionally, I can turn lights on and off, bring in your mail/packages and put them in a designated space. Take out and bring in trash/recycling on their designated days. I will always clean up after myself, and will clean up pet messes as instructed. I do not do additional cleaning. I pack in and pack out what I need. For overnights, I'll need: a bed, working bathroom, a bit of room in your fridge/freezer, the ability to cook (or at the very least heat up) food. Access to a Coffee Maker and TV are a plus! For extended house-sits, laundry access is appreciated. And if want me to raid your fridge/kitchen/garden because you have items going bad that you don't want sitting, let me know. Before our 1st Meet-up, think on the following: Do my animals try to get out? If they do, how/where do they get out and how do I get them back? When my animals go out in the yard. What do I want done for/with them or the house if they get wet/muddy playing out in the rain/snow/sprinklers, etc. Is my dog going for walks? Do I have a well-fitted harness and sturdy, NON-retractable leash available? Have I taken my house-sitter on one of our favorite walks? Where are the animal foods/treats/medications? Are they clearly labeled and easily accessed? Do I have enough for while I'm away? Have I gone over the specifics for each animals needs with instruction? Does my animal hide? If so... where? Do they experience separation anxiety or fears associated with loud noises like thunderstorms? What do I do to help sooth them? Is anything in my house not functional, in ill repair, or making odd noises? Are the doors, windows, or faucets tricky? Is anything in the house off-limits? (eg, don't use the upstairs sink, it leaks.) Am I expecting any special deliveries, repairfolk, or drop ins of any kind?

Information Elizabeth C. would like to know about your pet

I like to know where the dog likes to go for walks and how they like to play. What are their favorite toys and treats, and do they have any dietary needs/restrictions. I need to know if they need medication and what their daily schedule is typically like. Does the companion have special needs, and if so, how can I best accommodate them? And, how can I best support the human client while they are away from home? I LOVE big dogs but have physical restrictions that prevent me from handling dogs over 80 pounds or any dog that cannot control themselves while leashed.

A typical day

There will always be lots of play time (if they do that) with their favorite toys so please, let me know what they love the best. I take outside animals out every few hours so they can run and sniff about, otherwise, more playing and all the cuddles they let me give them. Please let me know if your dogs aren't allowed on the furniture.

I'm childfree, besides our doofy Labradinger & Blue-fronted Amazon, and my time is my own. Schedule is dictated only by what else I have booked, appointments, and, in some extended circumstances (exacerbated by distance and/or time) if my husband is available to check in with our "kids" routinely.
