Keeping your pet happy and safe

Pet care experience

I have always had a love for animals even at a young age. At 8 my dad gave me my first puppy, who was a dachshund and I brought that little guy everywhere with me. I always took care of his daily needs even being so young because his happiness was everything to me. I have always been a hard working responsible person that always wanted to follow my passion and love for animals. I attended an agricultural high school and took vet science courses that have really helped me learn more and gain more hands on experience on how to care for different types of animals. I loved learning more about care in a scientific standpoint and took that course all through high afholl During high school I worked at a boarding and grooming facility for cats and dogs and I absolutely loved doing that because I loved taking care of the pets and making them feel safe and happy so their moms and dads didn’t have to worry at all about them while they were away. I cleaned their rooms, fed and watered them, walked them, played with toys with them, I also learned how to properly give medicine to the animals that needed it as well as learned how to groom them. I was taught how to groom pets as well as learned how to run a playgroup with multiple dogs at once. The training for those was really important because it taught me knowledge I didn’t know fully before and I still use that knowledge to this day. I wanted to make sure I knew as much as possible about caring for animals and I worked there for over 5 years. The only reason I left was because I gave birth to my daughter and I was a single mom that needed to be home with her. I have always had pets my entire life. After my dachshund I had a golden retriever that just passed away of old age she was 15 and I still have my adopted cat Magic. Pets are more than just pets they are family and they bring me so much joy and your pets would be treated just like they were my own.

Before my 15 year old golden passed away this passed July I used to wake up and walk her outside to use the bathroom every morning at 7am and then I would give her food and water. After I helped her (because she was a senior dog) I would also feed my cat and give him water. I would also clean out his litter box daily. Then around 9/10am I would take her outside again because since she was older she had to use the bathroom more often. I would take her out every 2 hours to use the bathroom. Then at 6 pm I would feed my cat and my dog and then I would take my golden for a walk around the neighborhood for exercise after dinner. Of course I used to play with both of them throughout the day with their toys. She used to love to swim so I would take her to the lake some days. I still currently do the same schedule with my cat. My cat and my dog got along so well. They always loved playing with eachother. When I do visits to take care of clients pets I would reintroduce myself to the pets. I want them to be as comfortable with me as possible. I am comfortable at taking dogs for walks and caring for them with whatever they need. I love taking dogs for walks and playing with toys with them. I also love cats and would love to care for them as well. I want to make this time for them an enjoyable experience. Every pet is going to be different and whatever needs they have I will make sure to follow those specific needs as well as keep the owners updated with pictures and messages showing how their amazing pet is doing.

Information Elizabeth B. would like to know about your pet

A few things that I would like to know ahead of time to make sure that we all the best experience possible is : -Does your dog have any special needs? -Does your dog have any food or toy aggression? -Does your dog need any daily medications while you are away? -Does your pet get along with other dogs? -Is your pet afraid of strangers or do they warm up rather quickly?

A typical day

I want your dogs experience to be as engaging and as fun as possible. We would go on walks, play games with their favorite toys, and of course they will get tons and tons of love and attention. I love going on scenic walks and hikes to give them excercise and to just have fun smelling around the area. If they have a favorite toy or activity I would love to do that activuty with them. Some dogs like to walk and some like to just snuggle on the couch, so whatever your pet enjoys to do, I would love to do the same.

I am a work from home mom now and pet care would be perfect to fit in my schedule because I am always home. I am available Monday to Friday from 6am to 12:30pm for dog walks and drop in visits. On the weekends I am available all day from 6 am to 8pm for dog walks and drop in visits. I am available some holidays which I have listed in my calendar. That is why I enjoy working from home because I can still follow my passion of caring for animals but at the same time still be available to be there for my family. I do go to church on sundays but I can work my schedule around your pets schedule. If you have any special time requests please feel free to reach out to me and I will accommodate for you.
