Animal lover

Pet care experience

My husband describes me as the most patient person he has ever known, especially when it comes to animals and children. Our daughter is 12 years old and loves animals as much as we do. Pets need affection and attention, which I give happily. Additionally, my dogs are always excited to be around people and view all new dogs as friends they haven’t met yet. A bit about my pups: Clover is a 7 year old, retired service dog who is extremely well behaved, playful, and loving. Jax is seven months old, full of energy, extremely playful, and loving. They share toys and treats and snuggle up together when they are sleepy. I call Clover the wise old dog and Jax the eager, sometimes too enthusiastic, student. They truly are good boys. Jax LOVES Clover, and Clover loves Jax (capitals indicate level of overt enthusiasm, lol). Dog boarding: As a life long dog owner I know and appreciate the value of dogs having a safe and loving environment when their people have to travel. I understand dogs that are afraid of storms as well as dogs who are more curious than is good for them. Keeping dogs safe and healthy is my primary concern. I have over five acres of land for dogs to play, live in a rural area surrounded by farms, and my home is dog friendly. Dog walking / drop in pet visits: All furry and feathered friends need attention but people have to work or just travel for the day. I appreciate that animals need a schedule and I will stick to it. I own dogs, but I love cats, rabbits, birds, chickens and just about every other kind of pet / animal. No snakes or lizards please. My sister’s cat was diabetic and needed insulin shots, which required a strict schedule, so I am very familiar with regimens relating to medical needs as well. Animals with special needs such as medications, hip issues that limit mobility, or whatever else are safe in my care. I’m very familiar with various medical issues and happy to keep your pet comfortable, happy, fed, exercised, and safe. I look forward to hearing from you.

My best friend is Carmen, a six year old Shelti who is blind in one eye and takes a special thyroid medication daily. Elizabeth is the only person I trust to take care of Carmen. As my pet sitter, Elizabeth sat with me a discussed at length Carmen's special needs, personality, and quirks. By the time we were finished, Elizabeth had a clear understanding of what Carmen needed in a sitter, and she quickly bonded with my pup. Elizabeth takes Carmen for walks, knows how and when to administer medication, and how to play with her based on Carmen's blindness. Elizabeth has even done overnights for me, and Carmen is always happy to see Elizabeth when she comes to visit. I absolutely recommend Elizabeth as a dog sitter, walker, lover! She is worth every penny!

I have had Elizabeth care for both my cats and pet chickens while I was away on Vacation. Which is not an easy task. Chickens can be a bit an odd animal to ask someone to look after, but Elizabeth did it without hesitation. She cared for them twice a day and even went above and beyond when she knew a storm was coming and made sure they were put away safely from the storm. My cats very much have anxiety when it comes to new people in the house and tend to hide. Elizabeth again went above and beyond to make sure they were well cared for and inside safe during the storms that came in while I was away. I would recommend her services to anyone. She has 2 dogs if her own that are well cared for and the most loving, well behaved dogs you will ever meet.
