Furry friends are the best friends
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and I love dogs and cats - I've been hosting and house sitting for friends and Rover folks for many years, and I have a tendency to become best friends with 4-legged fuzzy roommates. For the summer, there's a bit of work happening in and nearby outside of my apartment & building - so for now, I'm focused on caring for your pets in the familiarity (and quietness!) of their own home. Below is my profile as I've had it for hosting dogs in my home: **** Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and I live in a 575 sq. ft, one-bedroom apartment with no 2- or 4-legged roommates. I work remotely, so I can keep an eye on your pup each day. If your dog is "lively" and maybe even pulls a bit on the leash, I'll gladly taken them on long daily walks around town to expend that energy and explore - and maybe catch their big break at nearby Sony Studios 😉 Or if your dog is smaller, older, or otherwise on the exercise-adverse side, I'll gladly let them lounge on the couch all day instead and help me get to the last page of the internet. I can't wait to meet some new fluffy friends! xoxo
Reviews
Elizabeth was great with my senior dog that needs extra care and someone with patience. She also took great care of my home and went the extra mile moving an extremely heavy package I got delivered. Will definitely ask Elizabeth to dog sit every time I’m out of town.
The pet sitter's attention to detail while caring for Winston (18 year old Chihuahua) and Diego (3 year old Chihuahua) was truly exceptional. From their meticulous feeding schedule to the tailored care for Winston's age-related needs, the sitter demonstrated an impressive level of attentiveness. Thank you, Elizabeth. You have given me so much peace of mind.
Elizabeth was great! She was so sweet and genuine and provided helpful, consistent updates. You can tell she cares so much about animals. I’d definitely recommend her and ask her to cat-sit again.
Elizabeth watched my pup while I was delivering my baby for 5 days. She was super flexible when I had to stay at the hospital for longer than anticipated and very responsive to me. A friend dropped off baby clothes and when we got home Elizabeth had cleaned, sorted them for us. She truly went above and beyond and it was such a nice gesture. She also left the pace super clean. I highly recommend her.

*** SAFETY, TRUST & ENVIRONMENT ("How do I care for pets in my home?") I have experience keeping dogs on track with several concurrent pill schedules. I also have experience caring for dogs post-surgery and keeping an eye on them to make sure they're not jumping, etc. You can be assured that your dog's eating regimens will be closely followed. I am super strict with food - I flat out never share my human food with my four-legged guests except for in a couple of cases where dogs weren't wanting their pills, so I used some natural 2-ingredient peanut butter to … “encourage” them 😁 My building has locked gates at each entrance and in 10 years of living here and taking care of dogs, I can count on one hand the number of escapes from my front door and as for escapes from the building: a grand total of zero. I’m very, very aware of who may be at my feet when the door is opened! Lastly and most importantly: any time that a dog has begun acting oddly I have alerted the owners straight away. Typically it’s just been a case of anxiety that dies down after some time with me, and in one case I just needed to pick up a renewed prescription at the local vet. I am committed to do whatever it takes to ensure my fluffy friends are all good!
Information Elizabeth A. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has been sick leading up to the stay. I certainly have dealt with pups who are under the weather, but it's best to be honest, not just for my sake - but your pup's. If they need extra attention, extra water, etc. - please let me know so that I can do what I need to to get them back on track. Happy and healthy is the goal!!
A typical day
I've had lots of couch potatoes, but with energetic doggos I'll take them around the entirety of the Sony campus, which is 1.2 miles - and we may get a glamour shot with the rainbow installation peaking in the background. I do always avoid dog parks when dog sitting because there are just too many variables.

Availability
*** SCHEDULE ("How does pet care fit into my daily or weekly routine?" I go out of my way as much as is humanly possible to schedule appointments and run errands before and after hosting dogs. This way each stay involves few instances of me leaving your furry family member alone - if any at all.
