Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Elissa and I am a true dog lover. I have been pet sitting since I was 7 years old: from yorkies to golden retrievers, I have helped with numerous breeds. I have also been a dog owner for over 20 years, and I know that there is no better feeling than coming home to your best friend : ). I love to be outside, and I will do all of your dog's favorite activities with them: walking on nature trails, throwing their favorite stick, going for a (slow) jog, or just sitting happily in the sun. I will do anything to make your pup happy in your absence! I have experience with elderly and ill dogs as well. I am currently a stay-at-home mom to two boys under 5 and they may come along on my Rover appointments! I live in a house with a fenced backyard and plenty of room to play. I can't wait to meet your dog!

I think it's always important to know what riles a dog up and what calms them down! It's good to know how to avoid over-exciting a dog, as well as how to help them relax. Any favorite routines and activities are helpful as well. No breed preferences! I have owned a Bichon Frise, Shih Tzu, and Brussels Griffon. I have had a Golden Retriever, German Shepherd and Boxer live with me for extended periods of time.
A typical day
Some of my favorite activities are hiking trails, playing fetch, reading a book while your dog chews its favorite bone, and going to the dog park! I am open to hearing about any activities that your dog enjoys.
