I have a 15 year old feisty, but also sweet, part Boston Terrier/part Beagle named Brandy.  She does not play nice in the sandbox with other pets and she will often growl if someone makes a sudden movement towards her – or if they do something as benign as move a yard sale sign to a place where she doesn’t think it should go.  I have neighbors – and friends - who are scared of her.      At the same time, she’s a real sweetheart who, I feel certain, would die if she was left in a place too long where she was afraid or ignored.  I left her at a kennel for a weekend ONCE and I came back to find her shaking and scared.  She hadn’t eaten the whole time I was gone.    I’m working out of state right now and I know no one in California who could watch her.  I was really worried about finding someone who could handle her, but who would also LIKE her and be sweet to her.  I found that person in Elissa.    She is calm, responsible, friendly, communicative and accommodating.  She did a WONDERFUL job with my little pumpkin and I couldn’t be happier.  Not everyone can handle a senior dog with a little attitude, but Elissa won her over and treated her well.    I can’t say enough good things!  The pictures and videos she sent while I was on my trip gave me such peace of mind.  Brandy looked to be grinning in several of them.  :) If I am in need of pet care again while on this assignment, I will absolutely request Elissa and I would HIGHLY recommend her.  She did a beautiful job with my dog and I know she would with yours as well!

Elissa was my employee for nearly a year. Her role was as a dog runner and pet sitter, but her work ethic far exceeded her job responsibilities. She is someone I would not only trust my 4-legged children with but also my 2-legged. Her kindness is authentic, and the dogs and their parents felt that, too. As an employer, Elissa was one of the best, most hard-working and self-directed employees I have ever had, and she is greatly missed. Have your pups give her a lick from all us at Trailblazing Tails!
