I thought my dog-sitting days were over when I finally adopted a dog of my own, but now I've realized that my weekend adventures with my sweet Emmy could be even more fun with another dog or two to hang out with us! I am only available on weekends beginning Friday mornings (my work-from-home day) through Sunday night. Emmy and I are a package deal so a meet and greet with our dogs will be necessary (she is amazing with all dogs, but I know some others can be pickier), and if I'll be staying at your house I will bring her with me. She is fine with cats too. A typical weekend for Emmy and I look like lots of Laurelhurst park time (I'm just a couple of blocks away so I treat that like our backyard), lots of lazy cuddles, and usually a longer outing to Forest Park, Mount Tabor, or Sellwood riverfront park. If that sounds like a good fit for your pup, we'd love to have them join us! I live alone in a dog-friendly one bedroom apartment. It's not huge, but Emmy and I have managed to figure out fetch, and when it's warm she likes to sit out on my balcony and watch the squirrels. Since we don't have a yard, we go on 4-5 walks a day, at least one of which to the park for some off leash time. A little background about me: I actually grew up as a cat person, but what started as a way to make a little money in high school watching dogs turned into a deep love for them (cats are still cool too). I recently moved from upstate NY, where I dog-sat for 7 years through college and my first job. I work full time for a local nonprofit. I'm excited to get back into dog sitting and help Emmy make some friends!
