Pet care experience
I've grown up around dogs for the majority of my life. To me, a home is not complete without one. I've developed such a strong bond with canines of all kinds, ages, and attention spans. Being a "dog whisperer" is cliche, but I have found that my training style, body language, and skills can warm up even the grumpiest of old pooches. I treat every dog I meet like it's my own. I do not currently own any pets, but I have fostered, sat for friends, and lived with dogs regularly since my teen years. I can help reiterate training, wear them out at the dog park, or simply provide company. Feeding is done at regular intervals (if no exact schedule is given), and timed with a long walk afterwards. Currently I am available afternoons and evenings for walks, and at any time for overnight sitting in your home. If you have additional concerns or specifications for your pet, feel free to ask.

I am disabled and Elise is really great with my service dog, which is a tall order. They are smart and hardworking, but need time to play as well. Elise tackles the responsibility of a shaggy, energetic golden retriever with ease. She's always on time - early always - and even eaches me things in my old age.

-I prefer dogs that have SOME leash training for walks. Unfortunately, larger dogs that pull too hard and do not know how to walk on a leash exacerbate my old elbow injuries. I am willing to guide puppies, however, since the concept is new to them. -Please let me know if your dog has any fears, aggressive behaviors, or other quirks. This includes their temperament around other dogs. While I cannot guarantee that I can keep them at bay, it is imperative that I know of these things to keep us both comfortable.
A typical day
If there is a local dog park you prefer, I will gladly take your pup there or find one that is suitable. If they're skiddish around other dogs, a long loop around the neighborhood is always a great option. With a long, retractable leash fetch is just a stretch of grass away! For overnight stays there are limitless bellyrubs, cuddles, and tug-of-war matches. For puppies and smaller dogs, indoor tag is always a go-to favorite.
