I’ve taken care of our family dog since I was 10 until I moved away for university. He was a German shepherd mix. Later I lived with a pit bull mix, who was my roommate’s, for four years, and I took her out for walks every day. Lastly I volunteered for a year at a local animal shelter, taking classes to train easy, medium and difficult dogs, as well as pit bulls and puppies. I would walk the dogs one day per week and give them basic training to help them find a family. I loved it and that’s why I’d like to dog sit/walk. I can’t have a dog right now, but I love spending my time around dogs and training them.
