Pet care experience
Everyone that knows me would say I am an animal lover! I have been a part-time pet sitter and walker for the past 6 years. Up until this past fall (2021), I was working full-time in the veterinary health field. I left my position to pursue a master's in wildlife forensic science. My coursework is entirely remote and very flexible. This means that I can provide your pet with my full attention when they are in my care! I am also Cat & Dog First Aid certified by American Red Cross. I am comfortable with dogs & cats of all sizes, ages, and breeds in high stress situations. I would treat your pet with the love and care as I would my own. Please let me know if you think I would be a good fit!

I have a fenced in yard with lots of room for your dog to run around. I have a very sweet dog of my own (roughly 50lbs, mild temperament, 6 y/o male), who can keep your pup company. If you prefer for your dog to sleep up in bed with me that it totally fine! Or, if you prefer to crate your dog, that works too.

It is important for me to know of any behavioral tendencies, dietary restrictions, medical conditions (including medication), personality traits, etc. I also like to know about your typical routine and care at home so that I can do my best to mimic the environment - I've found this reduces stress levels for the pets.
A typical day
A typical day depends on what the owner is comfortable with! I love going to parks to play fetch and to allow an opportunity for socialization with other dogs. Of course, if the dog is not comfortable at parks, we can go on long walks, play tug of war, and snuggle! A typical day is unique for each dog.

I am a full-time graduate student with flexible, fully remote coursework. This gives me lots of flexibility in my daily schedule. I can care for your pet according to their needs and normal schedule.
