Trustworthy and loving animal care.
Pet care experience
I have cared for dogs of all shapes and sizes since I was a child and am passionate about quality of life for all animals. When I’m not caring for your friend, I volunteer my time as the Barn Manager for Hope for Horses, a rescue, rehab and adoption non-profit organization dedicated to the care of neglected, abused and aging equine. I have working experience with basic veterinary care and can administer medications (including oral, and subcutaneous injections) and manage special needs cases with compassion and kindness. I will give your companion my full attention during our time together. Your pet won’t be bored - we will enjoy playful activities suitable for your dog’s abilities! I will always treat them with respect and give them the care they deserve. I can also take pictures and offer updates to give you peace of mind. Thank you for considering me for the care of your loved one. Let’s do this – it’ll be fun!
Reviews
I have known Elisabeth for about 8 years. In that time, I have worked with her at a couple of barns where we have volunteered. Currently she is the (volunteer) barn manager at a rescue barn for starving/abused horses. She pays attention to important details and recognizes what needs to be done. She is extremely reliable and the animals all love her. I trust her with my dog!! I am sure she would take good care of other peoples' dogs and their property. She is also a really nice person to be around. I enjoy her company and admire her dedication to whatever she is doing. I would highly recommend her to your company. (BTW, I am 64 years old and I know a good person when I meet one.)
I have 2 special needs dogs. Both dogs are senior terriers. One dog has spinal damage from prior abuse and the other has a host of health issues as well as low vision. They take multiple medications and one is a very finicky eater due to his digestive issues. Elisabeth took great care of them when I was out of town, even hand feeding my poor eater. They are quite challenging to care for but she did a great job. I recommend her wholeheartedly.
Elisabeth loved our dog Gary as if he was her own. We gave Elisabeth a key to our house and she would walk Gary and spend time with him while we were at work. Gary was a rescue dog who had been in an abusive situation and it took awhile to warm up to new people, but Elisabeth patiently gained his trust. Elisabeth is a true animal lover and is trustworthy, kind, and active.

No breed preferences. Aggressive? Passive? Do they like people, especially children? Do they get along with other dogs or cats? Need daily medical care? Special needs? Age? How far can they walk? Energy level?
A typical day
Parks are great. If they like other dogs, Carrier Park. Places with water if they like to swim playing fetch. (Will definitely towel dry after) Fetch using any safe object on land. Run. A good scratching.
