Leilas Lounge Pet Care Services

Pet care experience

I’ve not only owned a large variety of different dog breeds throughout my life, but I’ve also been a dog walker/house sitter/pet boarder/dog trainer & even have been offering light grooming services for dogs since I was in elementary school(I began my professional pet care services journey when I was in the fourth grade), over these many years, I’ve had the unbelievably rewarding honor & experience to not only help others care for their fur baby &/or babies which has only helped me to learn more about even more breeds at various stages of life as a pup, which helped me learn a lot about how to best care for them and accommodate to each of them individually depending upon these variables(such as; age, breed, and a variety of medical conditions). Having had so much time to accumulate this knowledge and care for so many different pets/animals throughout my life, I’ve gained total confidence in my abilities, my knowledge, my skill base, and the special place all animals have in my heart and soul that I’ve carried in myself for as long as I can remember. I care for my clients babies the way I would want mine cared for, or better. Nothing less. Which, for me, if I was in the clients position, would be the most important thing for me to know and see about my choice in pet sitter, I view my pup, Rose, as a member of my family, because she is! Animals are so precious because they are the only living creatures on this earth that will truly love you no matter what, they will give you their heart, if you give them yours.. It’s that simple. important to let the owner know you understand as well as respect this and wouldn’t dream of treating their fur baby any differently than you do your own. I follow my clients instructions and their pets daily schedule day-to-day to the absolute best of my abilities, so that there’s as little changes in their normal “at home” schedule(s) as humanly possible. As far as my availability/work schedule goes, it is very open, I am available day or night, seven days a week, 24-hours a day. This is because I am a freelancer who generates income based off of a variety of different side job sources, meaning for the most part, I make my own work schedule. With that in mind — I’m certain we can figure almost any booking availability out to work something that is accommodating, for both the client(s), the pet(s) and myself, as the pet care provider. I love my fur babies with all my heart, along all the others I’ve cared for and developed a strong bond/relationship with them as well as their pet parents! I have a lot of experience with caring for dogs in any stage or walk of life weather it’s be puppies, young adult, or even senior dog care. My sons father even had an older German shepherd with degenerative myelopathy before she passed and with me giving her daily massages, physical therapy, watching her diet, etc. she ended up living a whole additional year than she would’ve when she lost her ability to use her back legs because I immediately began working with her and she showed me she had the fight and willingness to do the work to gain some strength in her back limbs back up and she walked with all four legs up until the very end of her 14 year long life. I have a completely open schedule, making me available 24/7, unless I have another booking already scheduled, I will always available for any pet sitting/boarding needs! I have various large kennels in my boarding room, along with a couch & plenty of toys in my toy basket, and a large fenced backyard!

Thank you for taking care of our Leo-communication was amazing, as well as the daily pictures. I was able to enjoy our vacation without having to worry if he was okay. Thank you for taking such good care of him.

Taylor was very sweet and I can tell she cares about animals. However, we had several issues. Firstly, we scheduled a meet and greet and the day of she pushed it back to the next day (which happens, I get it). But the next day we agreed on a time and she ended up showing up 3 hours later than the agreed upon time- which was a little frustrating as I work nights and got up early to accommodate the time she suggested and we have a new baby. Secondly and mainly, we hired her specifically to stay overnight with our two dogs. This was made clear from the beginning and was reinforced when we had a meet and greet with our dogs and showed her where she would be staying. One of our dogs is very anxious and neither of them had been left alone all night. Unfortunately, we were gone for 4 nights and they were alone all of those nights. We have a security system so we can see when she comes and goes. After the first night that she didn’t stay, I texted her to confirm that she was hired to stay with our dogs. I was upset but I tried to be nice about it and give her the benefit of the doubt. She said yes and that she had overbooked herself but assured me she would be staying with them the remainder of the nights- which sadly never happened. She did stop by every day to feed them and let them play, so I appreciate that. And my anxious dog warmed up to her quickly. There were a few occasions that they were left home alone too long for our liking but I tried to again give her the benefit of the doubt with it being the holidays. I understand things happen, but I would’ve appreciated being communicated with before hand about her overbooking herself so we could have found someone else. And if you say you are going to do something, then it should be done. It wasn’t all bad. She is very good at sending pup-dates and I can tell she did take the time to play with our dogs. She also did do a lot of tidying up in our house, which I appreciate the gesture but could have done without things like rearranging and organizing our bathroom drawers, bedside table drawers, etc (that’s a little too personal and invasive). Just overall disappointed and sad to know our dogs were alone 4 nights with never having been before that.

I try to care for, and love my pets as if they aren’t always going to be here. I try not to sweat the little things because one day I’ll miss those things I once upon a time might’ve felt were annoying. They’re only here for such a short period of time. It should be as amazing as they are.

Information Elisa Taylor Y. would like to know about your pet

Please be sure to specify ANY and ALL health information such as medications, recent surgical procedures along with the directions for any/all bandage(s)/dressings that may require being cleaned and changed, or if there is an upcoming surgical procedure your pup may need special care instructions for such as fasting the night prior or administering medication beforehand, etc., or if your pet requires a special diet, along with what they can and cannot eat along with what they can eat, what it consists of, at what times of the day/night do they eat and how much of it do they eat and be sure to bring enough of their food with them to last the entire duration of the booking with them for daycare/boardings unless I am coming to your house for at house sitting and/or drop-in. If the scheduled booking is scheduled to take place at the clients home, please just be sure to disclose with me via text, or by leave detailed instructions that have all the normal day-to-day expectations that they would live by on any other day, just like as if you were at home. This helps me to understand the schedule they are use to, allowing me to properly and correctly care for your pet(s). This way I can ensure I am doing everything their already familiar with which will help them stay calm, feel safe while you are away, and rid their minds of any unsure emotions they may or may not have towards me. Making for a happy and fulfilling booking for not only the pet(s) but, for me as well. this will also allow your pet and I to better get to know one another and form our relationship on trust, which is very important for any pet sitter & the pet(s) they care for. This establishes a much stronger & healthier environment and relationship amongst the sitter, owner(s) & their pet(s) creating a calm atmosphere for the pet to adjust to being in the sitters care. After this, every time the sitter works with your fur baby/babies this bond will continue to grow in a healthy and loving direction.

A typical day

Daily Pup Time Activities— • Daily walks • Fetch for a different duration of time which is dependent upon each dogs different age(s), breed, special needs(if they have any such as eye-sight deterioration, disorientation due to old age or something they endured during their life, deaf/hearing loss, obesity, etc.) during each of our multiple daily potty breaks which are done at anytime the dog expresses the need to relieve its self, from there we will go outside, play, enjoy the weather(should the weather permits us the ability to do so), maybe sunbathe while smelling the smelly, smells and listening to the noisy, noises. • Morning/Evening Massages — this one is for our older or elderly fur babies, this is what I do every morning upon their waking up before they even get up and out of bed to wake their muscles&limbs up, stimulate and promote healthy blood flow throughout their bodies and stretching of their extremities right before getting up from bed for breakfast and potty time. This way their day is less painful, they aren’t as still, their nerves have been stimulated and awoken just as they have all together to more easily and gradually transition into the day. In the evening this same event takes place right after dinner and the last potty break of the day to get them nice and relaxed for bed time while still keeping those nerves stimulated, and helping promote stronger healthier blood flow. • During daycare we will also have inside playtime with the basket of toys that consist of tennis balls, frisbees(which we will also play outside) on some days), indoor ball toys, squeaky toys, teething toys, etc. •Meal times distribution will be at the routine times they usually are when it is any other normal day with you and your pet(s) at home. •Interactive Toy Time + Treat dispensing toys that work your pets brain to figure out how to get the treats out of the toy, keeping their interest and brain working to memorize steps, specific scents, and to uncover where there are and are not treats will promote overall good brain and memory health for a long and happy life! •Baths are offered for a small extra fee of $35 where your pet will get a bath specific to their coat and skins needs, trim their nails if needed, and brush hair till free of all loose undercoat hair and/or matted hairs, etc. while your pup is recievjng this additional care (should you chose!) they will be enjoying peanut butter on one of the lick pads I provide to keep them happy, distracted, and as calm as possible for their hygiene services to be easily administered as quickly and throughly as possible! Then I’ll provide them with a Greenies dental stick treat to brush their teeth! •Bedtimes — bedtime will be done at the instructed time from the owner(s) that mimicks usual routine and schedule when at home on a any other regular day. They will also sleep wherever you usually have them sleep and I’ll follow any specific instructions that you would usually follow for them to get the best possible rest and outcome for the duration of the booking! For example, if you put them in their kennel for bed, that’s where I will put them for bed as well, and if you cover the kennel when they rest, I will do the same, and so on and so forth! •PUPDATES— Unless instructed differently by the pet owner(s) to send more or even less pet updates; my usual approach is to send two PUPDATES per each day of the scheduled booking, one will be at some time during the morning(AM) hours, and the second one will be sent during the evening(PM) hours both will be sent at different points in time during both the morning and evening durations, should you like for me to send you more or less than that during the day everyday of your scheduled booking, simply let me know to do so when discussing everything prior to the start date of the booking. If there is anything you as the owner may want to exclude or include that’s not listed in these examples of some of our daily activities, then please simply let me know before hand over the phone or at our scheduled meet & greet of what you specifically would or would NOT like for me to do for the daily activities with your pet(s) and I will be sure to respect those wishes and/or boundaries!

I am currently a full time freelancer, and caring for animals is a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I consider my pets to be closer to me and love me more than a lot of family members. I always try to care for my clients pet(s) the way I would want my fur babies to be cared for, or better. Absolutely nothing less, ever. Because I know the level of trust, and belief in my ability to care for your pet(s) as you would on any other normal day. it takes a lot of courage to leave your pet with someone, other than one of their usual owner(s), which is why I also always provide my clients with multiple daily PUP-DATES(these are pup/pet updates that I will send to my clients during their booking(s) to help ensure their mind stays at ease knowing their pet is safe & sound in good hands, this can be either a photo and/or video of their pet(s) that’s been taken within moments of sending it. Below the photograph/video, I also provide owners with a detailed summarized version of everything we’ve done so far that day and/or evening, along with what our plans are looking like for the remainder of that day or what will most likely be taking place within the next Pupdate. I try to send atleast one of these in the morning, another around lunchtime and one more in the evening before bed(NOTE: unless the client requests that more or less of these updates are to be sent daily, in which case I will send as many as the owner(s) want me to send!). I send these updates to my pet owners so, they are able to keep their minds at ease and maintain the ability to relax, I also like for them to be able to see that they can always trust my judgement with their pet(s), is a very big deal to me that my clients have faith in me as their pet caregiver.
