Pet care experience
I have experience with obedience/behavioral dog training, daycare/boarding, and veterinary assisting in general practice/emergency medicine since 2014. I am well-versed in first aid and geriatric care and I implement the same disciplinary system I’ve used at kennels and during training.
Reviews
Always grateful for the updates and great care Elisa takes of our pup!!!
Elisa is literally a dream come true!!! What could have been an extremely nerve wrecking experience was a walk in the park! Elisa made both our first experience leaving our dog with a sitter and none the less on our wedding day, seamless. With our pup having epilepsy we were nervous leaving him with someone, but Elisa took the upmost care of him and kept in contact sending brief updates and treating our baby like a king!! We seriously lucked out finding her and can’t wait to use her again in the future!! Elisa thank you so much for making sure we weren’t stressed on our special day!! We are forever grateful for you!!
Elisa was very nice and welcomed my “Guccy” boy into her home with open arms! She accommodated us at the last minute and I was very appreciative!
Very loving and caring. Has the energy to match our pitt and can tire him out in fun ways. Elisa is very flexible with time and willing to adjust it if need be. I highly recommend her because if she can handle our bulldozer of a dog, she can handle anything.

I will care for your animal the way I would my own, but with your rules! Usually I fill water and give potty breaks as often as I take them (frequently!). I am home the majority of the day due while I am remotely. I will communicate any plans to leave your pets alone! For boarding clients, I live with my grandpa and boarding in my home is limited to animals he approves, though most dogs have been welcome! I prefer to board one animal at a time, but I am willing to consider certain 2-dog households. I prefer to establish long term clients. This helps me to establish trust with your canine (or kitty!). Animals typically become more comfortable and natural as we get to know each other. The goal is to allow them to have a friend who they trust and love while their family is away. You should be enjoying that you don’t have to worry about your pup. Your pup will get to enjoy a puppy vacation! I do well with all dogs of all types. I really enjoy timid, talkative, quiet, and loud dogs. For social animals, I will establish clear guidance for how they are expected to walk on a leash, as weekends will often include an outing, such as hiking or a national forest adventure (NOT DURING HUNTING SEASONS!). I highly recommend English Slip Leads, Gentle Leaders, and I am comfortable with E-Collars. I do not recommend harnesses that hook the leash to the back, as they do not provide any control over the animal. For boarding clients, my neighborhood is off of the main roads with medium flow of traffic. Drivers tend to be very courteous to animals and I infrequently meet animals in the road. I DO NOT INTRODUCE ANIMALS THAT I AM IN CHARGE OF TO OTHER ANIMALS WITHOUT EXPLICIT PERMISSION AND UNDERSTANDING OF SOCIAL PATTERNS.

Information Elisa K. would like to know about your pet
1) TRAINING TREATS: These are helpful for your animals and I to build a positive relationship. They are tiny, strong-smelling treats that are great for enhancing your pet’s sense of smell, without overfeeding. They are great for walks and around the house for rewarding positive behavior without giving your pup a million calories and a stomach ache. Recommendations: • Zuke’s Mini Naturals: 2.3 kcal/treat, so you can give quite a few in a day! • Freeze-dried meats: for animals with SENSITIVE STOMACHS, which tend to be easier to find in local/boutique pet stores or online. These are usually 3-5 kcal/treat, so you have to be more conscious of how many you are giving. 2) BATHS: please bathe your dogs within a week of your trip! This is an ASK from house sitting clients, but a MUST for boarding clients. I do offer baths, which can be booked with your trip. I utilize and highly recommend the Tractor Supply Co. baths, so animals need to be SOCIAL to book this service. If I get your dog dirty while we hang out, I will return them bathed! Tractor Supply CO.: $9.99 unlimited time in a fully stocked grooming room for those who choose to D.I.Y.! They provide: • Towels • Hair dryers • Basic grooming tools • A full grooming bath • Conditioner • Multiple shampoos (hypoallergenic, odor control, sensitive skin) 3) EMERGENCY CONTACTS: • Direct numbers: I will only use these if Rover's communication is down! • Day veterinarian: they will often treat daytime emergencies. • Emergency veterinarian • Emergency contact (if an emergency happens and I have not been able to get ahold of you, I need someone you are COMFORTABLE MAKING MEDICAL DECISIONS FOR YOUR PET!) 4) EMERGENCY COSTS: I highly recommend you apply for Care Credit for your pets to leave a card with me in the event of an emergency. Many hospitals won’t begin treatment until payment is squared away! This is a credit card that can only be used for hospital charges and cannot be abused! 5) FEEDING CHART: morning/lunch/evening, medications/supplements, time or time range of administration/feeding Treats are very important for establishing a healthy relationship and boundaries between me and your pets. When giving me guidance on feeding, keep in mind that your pets are getting more treats than normal during their stay with me! I will adjust their food by the amount of kcal/treats they have gotten that day. RER (Resting Energy Requirements) = 70(kg)3/4 • Neutered adult: 1.6 x RER = calories/day • Intact adult: 1.8 x RER • Inactive/obese prone: 1.2-1.4 x RER • Weight loss: 1.0 x RER • Weight gain: 1.2-1.8 x RER • Active/working: 2.0-5.0 x RER • Puppy 0-4 months: 3.0 x RER • Puppy 4 months to adult: 2.0 x RER 6) DETAILED NOTES: habits, routines, likes/dislikes, established training/rules/goals, codes, Wi-Fi passwords, etc. 7) GROCERIES: I will bring my own food. If you leave me anything, I would love to enjoy it, but don’t feel obligated! 8) CAMERAS: many clients choose to have cameras around their home. Wi-Fi-cameras can give a lot of peace of mind to clients who may be concerned about having a stranger in their home! You are not required to let me know in advance, but a courtesy is always appreciated! 9) COLLARS/LEASHES: whatever you use works for most applications. If any socialization is discussed (walks, outings, adventures!), please leave me with a leash that allows me ample control over your pets. I cannot provide any as I have a habit of giving them away to the million strays that find me! A normal leash and collar set up is fine. HARNESSES THAT HOOK ON THE BACK DO NOT PROVIDE ME ENOUGH OF A HANDLE ON YOUR PETS! Recommendations: • Normal Collar and Leash set up: I highly recommend a leash with a second handle on the leash halfway toward the dog. Kong makes a great one with ample padding on both handles. This is good in the event that another animal is nearby, and I need to have your pet closer. • English Slip Leads: these are a leather and soft rope version of the slip leads at veterinarian offices! Some technique required! I personally prefer these as an absolute favorite, but it does require attentiveness on both the animal and human parts. There are many videos that explain this technique on YouTube. • Petsafe Gentle Leader Headcollar: the full body Easy Walk (leash hooks to front below head) style harness works, but the face halter provides the handler much more control. • E-Collars: I am comfortable and trained with E-Collar usage, including off-leash applications. I do not encourage or discourage E-Collar usage.
A typical day
I spend a lot of time hanging out or playing with dogs. I enjoy hiking the high energy pups, but I also love lounging around the house with the mellower pups. Your pup will have lots of human companionship and if he or she enjoys going out and adventures, I am sure we can find tons to do near your house! What does your dog like to do?
