Pet care experience
Six years of experience as an all around assistant and stable hand to an AKC obedience and rally judge. I have lots of experience with large breeds because AKC registered Newfoundlands are bred here. I’ve helped raise more than five litters of puppies, taken care of by senior dogs, exercised and worked dogs of all sizes. I assisted in a grooming salon for a year as well as maintained Newfies appearances for more than 15 of them at a time. I am able to do nail trimmings, ear cleanings, baths, pad trims, and brushes. I am also happy to continue any training you are doing.

I have a good sized fenced in year with tall grass to play hide and seek with toys. I have two very friendly Labradors who love playing and other dogs. I have three cats that do not mind dogs and keep to themselves. I have two crates available as well as a studio that is easily convertible into a private room for your pet. Trips in the car include seatbelts. I am very knowledgeable about many types of dog breeds and will be more than happy to do what you normally do at home. I am trained to administer medicine to children, which translates over very well, and have given pills to many dogs over the last six years.

Please let me know about your dogs feeding schedule, any allergies, special needs such as medications, if they require a crate, if they take treats and how many , their favorite game, if there are any areas of the body that they don’t like touched, etc. as detailed as you can be to ensure I am doing what is best for your dog.
A typical day
I have experience with agility and obedience as a sport. I can work with dogs on these skills. We will play out in the backyard as well as take walks around the neighborhood. I do not go to dog parks as there are too many unpredictable situations and I my main priority is to keep dogs safe. I do enjoy going to the wildlife refuge and other wooded areas. I look into the local flea and tick populations before going anywhere with my dogs.

Availability
My availability fluctuates due to the nature of my job at the moment so feel free to ask even if it’s out of my listed availability. At this time, I have free weekend availability. During weekdays, I will have be available for drop off and pickups / walks/ etc after 2 on and before 7am. Boarders will have the opportunity to come join me at the farm for new experiences and plenty of open space to run in if that is something you would like.
