Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs ever since I was a little kid, and in my lifetime have myself had a Bichon mix senior, a rescue extra large lab/pit mix, and a blue heeler puppy. I have professional experience in animal care, and have cared for dogs of all sizes from Chihuahuas and Yorkies to Mastiffs and St Bernards. I also have experience caring for large packs of dogs, up to seven at once, and I have experience caring for cats, goats, sheep, horses, cows, and chickens. I love to teach tricks and do positive reinforcement behavior training if that's something you would like me to do or something your dog enjoys!

5 stars for El! We already booked again for our next trip! We have an older dog with seperation anxiety, and a 1 year old pup with tons of energy. El did great with both the dogs' needs, sent updates, and was an excellent communicator. El also helped out with our chickens while we were gone. I am glad to have a trustworthy and flexible house sitter!
El was great to work with and seemed super comfortable with our dogs! They met us prior to our trip for a meet & greet with our pups, see their routine and basically check their temperament. Since we have 3 dogs, with one of them needing extra attention, it was important to us have someone stay in our place so the dogs felt comfortable. El communicated with us while we were out of town and kept us updated on how everyone was doing. It was a relief to know they were in good hands. We will definitely be having El over again when we travel!
El did a great job sitting for my two 10 year old cattle dogs. She communicated well and came over for a meet and greet prior to the weekend. My dogs liked her very much when she came to visit and I felt comfortable with her. She followed my instructions and most importantly to me, arranged her schedule to my dogs feeding times . I very much appreciated that and the time spent in the afternoon with them before coming back later in the evening for the night. Will definitely use her again! Thanks El!
El was a godsend to me an my fur babies... I was extremely anxious about leaving my senior/special needs dog with a stranger while I was out of town, but El was very accommodating and communicative throughout the entire trip. I appreciate the help in keeping my aging familiar happy and safe. Thank you so much!

I have experience with dogs of all different sizes and breeds, and myself have a 90-100 lb pit/lab mix (Cedar) who is very dog reactive and protective of the home, and a blue heeler puppy (Goose) who is QUITE the energetic handful. I am comfortable and have ample experience interacting with nervous or aggressive dogs from having Cedar in my life, and I have experience with training the most stubborn and demanding of puppies thanks to Goose. Cedar was not a good walker when I got him, and he's still a work in progress, so I have lots of experience walking dogs who are STRONG and pull, as well as experience with positive reinforcement training to curb their reactivity.

If you have an anxious or reactive dog, please let me know your dogs triggers, what comforts them, and anything else you would like me to know. I have a reactive dog so I get it, trust me! If you are training for reactivity, I want to help you in your progress, not hinder you, and I want your dog to be as happy as possible!
A typical day
Depending on your dogs likes and needs, I am just as happy to take a short walk full of sniffs around the neighborhood, or drive a bit to get to a great hike! I love to play fetch and tug with dogs (and know how to teach them how to do it politely!) and I love to teach tricks to dogs that love to learn them.

I run my own small business, so I have no set working hours! That means I can give all my attention to your babies, whether that's walks, play, training sessions, or just keeping them company.
