Pet care experience
I have been professionally walking dogs through the Wag app for 5 years and have been house-sitting as my main gig this last year. Not having pets of my own I love being able to spend time with animals often and usually have a strong connection to both dogs and cats (and horses). I am also an avid walker and love exploring neighborhoods and cities this way. I also enjoy running with dogs when applicable, I used to trail run quite a bit with friends' dogs in the mountains of Colorado.

Elias was a great dog/house sitter! He gave our hound dog, Juniper, so much attention and exercise. Lot's of pictures! She was happy and tired from a great weekend.

During a sitting, I usually stay at the house for the majority of the time and keep the pets company with lots of playtime and plenty of walks. My priority is to keep them engaged and having a good time. If I need to go out for some reason I try to never leave them alone for more than an hour or two at a time.
