Pet care experience
I am a UNC grad currently working at Duke, and I recently moved to Durham. I’m on Rover because I love pets but don’t have one of my own quite yet! We have had family dogs at home almost my whole life, and I have house sat for my neighbors numerous times to take care of their 2 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve been doing Rover for several years now and have loved taking care of all the different doggos!

Elias was an absolute rockstar and took wonderful care of our pup during his stay! He was very patient and willing to take his time with our dog (who has some social anxieties) and it made all the difference. Loved having him as a rover and would give him the highest of recommendations. Will 100% be booking again!
Elias was great with my senior dog. He is competent and understanding. He took the time to understand my pet’s needs and wasn’t afraid to contact me if something was amiss. I was able to enjoy my trip knowing my dog was in good hands.
Elias was very thoughtful and took great care of my two pups. He made sure our senior girl got all her meds and our younger pup got lots of exercise. They both got lots of snuggles. We got lots of updates and pics. They were two happy girls!

In order for your pet to feel as comfortable and content with me as they do with you, I do everything I can to minimize disruptions in their schedule or environment. I am very patient and gentle so that I can build their trust and let them feel at ease. When housesitting, I take care to leave things as clean or cleaner than when I arrived. At my home, I have a cat who has never been around dogs, so I much prefer to provide care for dogs at their home rather than in mine.

I definitely would like to know beforehand how friendly or not they are with other animals and with people. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if they have any behavioral challenges, because it’s much better to know ahead of time.
A typical day
For exercise, I can take them for a walk/run on the trails by my house or in Eno River state park. In the house, I’ll spend time playing with them and keeping them entertained. Please let me know your dogs favorite games/activities and I’ll make sure they happen!

Availability
I work hybrid, but am rarely in-office for more than a couple hours at a time. When I’m working from home with your pet, they’ll get lots of love and attention!
