DBU Alumni & House / Pet Sitter ☺

Pet care experience

Born in Guatemala, raised in DFW. As I've learned through experience, caring for dogs isn't just about 'loving' them. It's about understanding HOW to love them. All dogs have a unique character and love translates into something different for them all. I currently have a 115lb German Shepherd named Lobo , and 30lb terrier mix (Snoopy), and a black cat named Bach (I think he's everything all the time haha). I have not only worked with my own dogs, I've always Dog/House sat for family, and friends. So I've bonded with Basset Hounds, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Great Danes, German Shepherds, Yorkies, Terriers, etc. the list goes on. I'm comfortable with bathing, feeding, playing, exercising, walking, hiking, going out to dog friendly restaurants, swimming, nursing, administering medication, performing CPR, general first aid (like taking the temp, checking vitals, bandaging, giving liquid medication , etc. and just simply hanging out with 1 dog or 4 (the max I've cared for at once, but they were all friends), I'm not intimidated by size (neither tiny nor huge), I genuinely enjoy all breeds and their unique characteristics.

Elias is a compassionate individual and is very dedicated to making sure that my dog received the special attention he requires each and every time. Most importantly he goes above and beyond to make sure my fur-baby Rico is taken care of while I am away. Elias is responsible, dependable and an overall great pet-sitter.

Information Elias L. would like to know about your pet

I'm partial to larger dogs because I feel like a lot of people don't attempt to bond with them simply because of their size (they get intimidated). I've found the biggest goofballs to be +100lbs but I don't discriminate the smaller breeds lol so no preferences. Please let me know: 1) What time your fur baby / home security system is used to going out and taking care of business. 2) What time they are used to eating at 3) Any medical conditions (such as dry skin, hip pain, etc.) 4) Any medications that they are currently on 5) If they are aggressive and if they're Spayed/Neutered 6) What activities they enjoy the most 7) Any other information you believe I need to have, because at the end of the day you know them and care for them which makes you the expert :)

A typical day

Whatever they like , plus some I like haha. I love going for early early jogs, runs, and walks. My internal clock usually wakes me up at about 5-5:30am everyday and on weekends (against my will at times) so that's when I let my dogs out first. All dogs like different games, I think the main idea is to find something that they LOVE. Example: My German Shepherd gets ECSTATIC when he sees my car because he loves car rides, he also knows when I'm putting my running shoes on. In contrast my little 30lb terrier HATES running. He's kinda lazy but he's a big barker and his main activity of choice is fetching. Lobo hates fetching haha. So the gist is I'm willing and able to follow recommended parental activities, and if there is no specific activity preference, I promise I'll have a list for you when you return lol
