Pet care experience
I have lived with dogs for the past 6 years. My college roommate had a husky mix that I would feed, walk, and watch when she was away. Similarly, my current Santa Barbara roommate has a pitbull mix that I also watch and care for while she is away. I am also an avid runner and love running with company! Can watch larger dogs and tire them out easily. I also highly enjoy walking, so can take smaller or older dogs for exercise as well.

My roommate has a dog already, so I am not willing to host animals in my home. In your home however, I always keep a watchful eye on animals, making sure that proper doors are closed, food is put away, and that the dog is safe.

Before I look after your dog, I will need to know if they are a strictly on leash dog, mostly off leash, or somewhere in the middle. I will also need to know if there are any known triggers for your dog (small children, skateboards, etc.) Lastly, I would like to know if your dog is food motivated and if I should be giving them any treats throughout our walks/care!
A typical day
I am training for a marathon that takes place this upcoming fall, so I am constantly running around the Santa Barbara area. Bike paths on Cabrillo and Las Positas, the More Mesa trail, and Hope Ranch are all areas that I frequent on my runs. I also love walking and can get some exercise for older and less active dogs. Being a Santa Barbara local, I of course love the beach and would love to take your dog for a beach day!

Availability
I currently work a full-time, remote job. I have availability every day before 8:30 am, 12 - 1 pm, and any time after 5 pm. I am also able to work weekends if you are out of town.
