*****Updated notice:***** While I am still prioritizing social distancing measures wherever possible, I am available to those that are getting back to their schedules or a much needed vacation, and especially those that aren’t able to get there yet and need an extra hand keeping their animal family happy in the wake of limited social access. I am fully vaccinated and boosted, and will be maintaining a few new standards in care to keep everyone as protected as possible for the time being: I will wear a mask indoors and in public spaces where appropriate, and can wipe down high touch surfaces I get to that aren’t your fuzz ball within your home if requested. I am also highly encouraging taxiing services for boarding and daycare to help keep your family from traveling more than they have to. If you have any questions, special requests or household and health requirements, please reach out! ———————————————————— I'm here to make sure you and your fuzz friend are as relaxed as possible when you can't be together! Alongside my current status as a veterinary technician student and some time volunteering at local shelters, I've both had myself and cared for family, friends', and neighbors' dogs from German Shepards taller than me to 5lb chihuahuas for the most of my working life, up through and including the last few years as a full time pet care manager. Different temperaments, ages, and preferences need different kinds of attention, so I try most to meet your pups needs however you and they most prefer. Multiple dogs and/or other animal family that need some love are more than welcome. I'm also happy to cover taking in mail, the trash out, watering plants, and similar upkeep chores.

Elena was wonderful! We received thorough updates with photos everyday and Greta (our 3 year old German Shepherd) was clearly having a great time. We picked up our very tired, very happy and well loved dog after 4 days at Elena’s. We had never boarded her before but everything with Elena went perfectly and we will absolutely book her again. Overall I work from home for boarding bookings, and do my best to keep any other appointments shorter and local so that potty breaks and attention are as consistent as possible. When I do have to go out, everyone can have their own private space if preferred and bed to nap in, of course with guests getting the mainstay of the house to themselves. That said, I am usually also able to adapt my days according to any special requests and scheduling; any way to make sure your pets are as comfy and happy as possible for your return.

I'm ready to care for any and every size and personality! But anything you think I should know is helpful in making their care as specific as possible - if there are activities your pets enjoy; if you have any exercise preferences, say a walk route or level of rigor; if there are any special needs, allergies, or medicinal applications etc to tend to; anything notable about how they interact with strangers and other animals, or about your home. As I am often around other older or chronically ill pets, it is also very helpful to know if anyone is sick, especially at all contagious, or on any antibiotics and other medicine that may affect their behavior.
A typical day
Above all I like to work with you and your pets wants and needs, so I'm open to any addition or extra play time. Depending on the exercise needs/age/lifestyle of your pup I am looking to set up the ultimate experience for them, from sniffing walks in the neighborhood, play and yard time, outings to the park or through some trails, to reinforcement training. For long and short term bookings, we can incorporate short runs or local dog parks if they’re available. But that’s always on top of walks every day, lots of time outside sunning and hunting down all the toys hiding around, and basic cleaning and grooming if we have a little too much fun.

Availability
I am currently taking (now online) classes as a vet tech in training, so my home schedule is flexible and I can cover consistent needs for day care, walking, drop-in checks and potty breaks, overnight stays, and taxi services as necessary. I’m usually able to stay for a little extra time together, and can handle any additional dietary, medicinal, and special care needs (or cleaning that goes with it) they might have with instruction as well.
