I’ve taken care of dogs of many kinds for over 17 years and cats for over 12 years. Neighbors & friends have relied on me to walk, feed & watch their pets both during the day and overnight. While the majority of my experience is with German Shepherds, Pitbulls, Huskies, Border Collies, Labrador Retrievers, and Spaniels, I also have experience with much smaller breeds like poodle mixes and chihuahuas just to name a couple. Experience with puppies, senior dogs as well as blind & deaf dogs. Experience with cats, both drop in visits & overnight cat sitting.

Elena is awesome and the dogs love her!
Elena recently started walking our 2 dogs. 1 a 7 month old and another 12 year old dog. The puppy is very shy with strangers coming into the house but Elena was so patient with him and gave him lots of praise and treats. She’s very punctual and if anything changes she immediately communicates with you. Our senior dog has to take epilepsy medication every day and Elena had no problem learning how to give her the medicine. Highly recommend!
I would book Elena again in a heartbeat. Elena took really great care of our dog and was intentional about providing the right care for the needs of our dog. Coordinating with Elena was also extremely easy and convenient. Don’t think about booking her twice.
Elena is such a lover of dogs! Her kind, sweet, loving disposition won over Viggo instantly. Very detail oriented with preparation. Checks all the boxes. She's a total pro!

Before the walk/visit/stay (dogs or cats): Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or of any other important information that I should be aware of. For dogs that pull, I prefer to use a collar over a harness on walks. For large dogs that pull (40 lbs or more), I prefer to use a pinch collar on walks. ***Will not walk dogs in the pouring rain. Sprinkling/light rain is okay. Will not walk more than one dog at a time in the rain.***

A typical day
I take dogs on walks around their neighborhoods. For longer walks, and if your dog does well with other dogs, I can take them to Ohlone dog park in Berkeley or another outdoor place where they can run around either on or off leash safely. I love spending time outdoors in nature getting fresh air, especially on beautiful sunny days. In hot weather, I can have water and a dog bowl ready for your pet, upon request. I can provide treats, upon request.

Please note that I define a puppy as a dog aged 24 months and younger, meaning that my puppy rate will apply to your walk, drop in, or overnight visit.
