1) Dog & Cat Sitting - I used to be the go-to pet sitter in my neighborhood when I was younger. Whenever a neighbor had a vacation, I would care for their dogs/cats. Also, I would check in on pets whose owners had long work schedules after school daily. 2) Animal Shelter Volunteer/Foster - I have 2-3 years experience volunteering at animal shelters. When I was younger and living at home, my family and I would foster dogs over the holidays to allow the staff some time off. In college, I fostered a puppy mill mom (English bulldog) for a couple of months. She was almost a foster fail but I wanted her to go to the best home who had more time for her than I would (I was just graduating college and didn’t have a set plan on what was next). 3) My own pets - We have two family dogs that I helped care for my entire life. When I moved away from home, I got a Russian Blue cat named Skylar. She is the sweetest! Overall, I would say I have extensive experience with animals. Spending time with animals definitely puts me in a good mood so if you were to hire me, I would make the most of our time together!
