I picked up Maggie from Elenas and Immediately I could tell that something was wrong. Maggie wouldn't get up from her dog bed. I called her to come and slowly she got up. She walked slowly toward me and it was evident that something g happened because she could hardly walk. Elena had 3or4 other dogs in her home that live there full time. At first I thought this would be fun for Maggie to have other small dogs to play with but now I'm afraid that either they were rough on her or something g else happened like possibly her falling down the stairs. We have taken her to the vet. They did X-rays and blood work. The vet said that she doesn't have any broken bones but had severe bruising on her upper left shoulder and lower back. She is still on pain meds and will be returning to the vet on Tuesday for s follow up visit. I am saddened that Elena didn't acknowledge that any accident happened. It is clearly evident that something happened. Maggie had been crying in pain until the vet gave her the pain meds
