I'm not taking on many new clients right now because my schedule is pretty full, but feel free to reach out if a friend or neighbor referred you to me. In fall of 2022 I quit my job to focus on pet care full time. I am available for catsitting and dog walking whether it's on a regular basis or just occasional. I live in Lower Queen Anne and take Rover clients who live in many neighborhoods near Belltown and Queen Anne , including; Queen Anne (all of it) Belltown, Downtown, South Lake Union, and Pioneer Square. I have many years of experience caring for all types of dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and breeds. I grew up always having a family cat, Boo Kitty, Vanilla Puff and Chocolate were the main cats of my childhood. When I was deemed responsible and old enough I was able to get a dog of my own. Ben, a border collie Samoyed. He was amazing, smart, fast, energetic, perfect. I raised two laboradors for Guide Dogs for the Blind while I was in highschool. During college I missed dogs so much that I volunteered at the local shelters three days a week while taking classes. After graduating Ben came back to live with me and I started fostering rescue dogs. Helping them get passed their fears and learn to love living in a home with people was so rewarding. When I got my first small dog foster I fell hard and that is how my current pup, Samwise, came into my life. After Ben passed away I was broken hearted but had room to love again so we invited Binx, the black cat, into our life. My partner and I also adopted one of our foster kittens in fall 2020, her name is Jenny and she completes our little family. My professional life has also always been animal related. I have worked at a boarding kennel and a dog daycare where I got to interact with many special animals each with their own individual quirks. I helped coax a 4 pound yorkie to eat while she was pouting because her owner was away and I handled gigantic dogs such as Leonburgers and Tibetan Mastiffs. I worked as a dog trainer for about a year and now I work at a local pet retailer. I will always tailor activities to the pet's needs, I am down for a good run with an energetic dog but I also have plenty of patience to stop and smell the bushes with the slower pups. With cats I am great at reading their body language and will do whatever the cat wants. Cat wants to play with a laser pointer or wand toy for the whole visit? Let's do it! Cat just wants to cuddle on the couch? Works for me. Your cat really doesn't like strangers and just wants to be left alone? I will do my best to win them over very slowly by showing them I am not a threat 🙂
