I’ve been taking care of pets and children since I was 13 (I’m 59 now), both my own and those of family and neighbors. I am reliable and responsible, own my house with my husband, and have a car. I work at home, and my 24 year old daughter, Hazel is presently living with us. She is also an animal lover and experienced in pet care, and will be helping out with the care of your dog. We live in a very dog friendly neighborhood near the Wissahickon woods, where we take daily walks.

Eleanor was fantastic! We left our dog with her while moving my daughter into college so we had a lot on our minds and loved the fact that we felt so confident that Nutmeg was well taken care of that it was one less thing we needed to think about. We got daily pictures of their walks or time just hanging out to reassure us that all was going well. We will most definitely be contacting her again when we need a dog sitter the next time. And I’m certain that Nutmeg would be more then happy to return to her care!
Eleanor took care of my dog Belle for 5 days. She treated her like her very own. Each day we were updated with pictures. I would definitely recommend her. Our only con was that Belle did not get along with her cat often.
Coming across Eleanor's page was a godsend when my scheduled boarding fell through. Despite giving her very short notice, she graciously agreed to take care of Carby while I was out of town and did a fantastic job at giving my baby his food, medicine, and TLC via walks. She was great at sending photos and updates throughout the boarding and I could enjoy my trip without anxiety or concern for my son's well-being. If my pup got along with her mostly outdoor cat, I would book her again in a heartbeat!
Outstanding. I couldn't be happier with the way things turned out. Eleanor and her husband did such a great job taking care of Lindsay that I wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend them again.

Your dog would stay in our house with us, and I would always keep him/her leashed while walking outside. I have a cat who spends alot of time outdoors and would make himself “scarce” indoors while we have your dog. We keep our cat flea and tick free with regular medication.

A typical day
Most of our daily activities involve hiking the nearby trails in the Wissahickon woods, or in the dog friendly neighborhood. Other than that—we’re just mostly at home doing wuiet activities.

I’m an artist working in my home studio, so I’m here most of the time. I’m an early riser, and love walking and being outside, so daily walks are already part of my routine. My husband and I live a pretty quiet life—so I have alot of time and love to devote to your dog while you’re away! My daughter’s presence in our household adds additional availability and lots of attention for your pet!
