Will your dog take me on a walk?
Pet care experience
I have never lived in a household without at least one pet. Growing up, I was normally the biggest pet-owner of my household, caring for up to 10 small pets at once as a child (rats, snakes, birds) in addition to dogs and cats. As an adult, I have been the designated dog sitter for everyone in my family. As much as my wife and I would love to have a pet right now, our apartment unfortunately does not allow it. But getting to hang out with your furry family member(s) for a few days is the next best thing.

Elan was great with Elvis. He was on time and communicated well with us. If we get back to Rapid City, we would definitely use him again. Elan was beyond the best choice we could have made for dog sitting. Our doggo has VERY high anxiety since we work from home he is hardly alone. When we are away it’s a constant stress of how he’s doing. This was our first time ever using a dog sitter and I really couldn’t have asked for any better, it can be really scary to leave your pet with someone they don’t know but he handled our fur baby with care and compassion. As I currently live in a pet-less apartment building, I am unfortunately unable to host pets in my own home. But I am happy to drive to your home to feed, let outside, and play with your pet, as wells stay overnights if you prefer. Whatever you may need, it will be done with care and love for your pet.
Information Elan S. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has a tendency to chew on shoes or other things left out, this would be useful to know. I also would like to know how much supervision they might need when I let them outside for a break (i.e. Will they destroy the backyard in 10 minutes if I leave them alone?)
A typical day
On my days off from teaching snowboard lessons, I have renewed my love for reading this winter. I will likely spend a lot of time on the couch reading with your pet, with scattered breaks to take them (more like take myself) on a walk to stretch the legs. In days I work at Terry Peak, I can schedule shorter days if needed to limit the amount of time I'm away from the house.

I am teaching snowboard lessons at Terry Peak part time this winter, meaning my schedule can be flexible, as I set my own work hours. So I can likely be available as much as is needed for your pet.
