My name is Elaine, I'm a 60 year old married mom of 4 and grandma of 5. My husband works during the day but he helps out sitting and walking dogs a lot. I'm home all day, most every day. I am looking for extra income and I love dogs. I have one little dog of my own, a miniature Dachshund named Stella. She is getting up in years but still puppyish and still feisty. She is tucked away whenever someone comes over for a meet and greet because she's not on her best behavior in the first few minutes, barking and letting everyone know this is HER place...but every single dog that has stayed here has never had a physical problem with her, she takes a few minutes to calm down and then she pretty much accepts everyone! I own my own home and have a good sized backyard that is fully fenced. Due to having watched so many dogs of most sizes, there are some dug holes there. I try hard to keep up on them and to keep the poo picked up. I mostly watch smallish dogs and some like to do their business on my deck...I call that my poop deck haha. I keep up on that constantly as well. I will admit there are days/times where my house gets dirty/untidy, although I do try hard to keep it up. My biggest grief is my carpet. I should never have gotten carpeting in my living and dining areas becasue that's the worse when you own or watch dogs. My dream is to have that all taken up and have either ceramic or fake wood flooring of some type put down! The carpeting is not the best looking, just don't look down when you enter. I do clean up constantly after dogs when they have accidents, but after years of that, even tho it's technically clean, it has lots of stains. I have grand kids who spill and mess a lot...as well as all the dogs that have trouped in here. I also have two daughters who are barely out of their teens who love to have their stuff all over, but I do try to pick up as much as I can and have them do as well. I just wanted to forewarn that my house can be untidy at times. It's a very old house too, built in 1905. Hopefully very soon we'll have renovations, we did just have my kitchen done, but other than mentioned, it's a safe environment. I have in the past taken on more boarder dogs than I should have, but I've toned down on that. I like to make sure each of my border dogs is comfortable and has a good and safe time here.
