Your Dog is a Welcome in my Home!

Pet care experience

I'm Elaine. I have grown up in a house full of all sorts of animals. My brother and parents fostered a love for all animals in me at a young age. My brother, who wanted to be a vet, taught me how to care for dogs, cats, various reptiles, hamsters, mice, birds, and an array of other furry friends. My father, who grew up on a small farm, made sure to teach me all he knew about caring for horses and livestock at a family farm in Rosharon TX. My family has never been without a dog, and it is tradition that children in our house learned how to care for a dog when they were in elementary. That included feeding, grooming, training, and loose leash walking. I have always made a point to train each dog I own and to foster a loving structured environment for them in my home. I have previously owned a shepherd/terrier/dachshund puppy that was a bundle of love and had already learned to sit, come, lay down, mastered potty training, and is better than ever in his kennel after a few weeks of patience, love and consistency. I currently own and train a 6mo old German Shepherd and 8yr old chow/Akita mix, 2 cats and 2 sugar gliders. About this sitter: I have spent my life surrounded by not only dogs, but cats, horses, chickens, reptiles, you name it, I've raised it. At this point, I would love to spend my time with loving animals to bring a little extra joy in my life. Great with all types of animals and comfortable with any issues (health or otherwise) they may have. I also do not mind tending to the daily care of a home, maintaining it at the same level as if you never left. great with making sure your pet stays on the same schedule as when you are home to make them feel as if you never left! The care of pets is a passion of mine because of the unconditional love they can give and because of the peace it brings to humans. caring for these wonderful animals brings me a sense of peace and fulfillment. the best aspect to pet sitting is that you are exposed to different animals and they bring a new perspective to your life each time, and you add a new friend with each new home you go to. Besides growing up in a home that constantly had dogs and animals of all types, I have worked with trainers to better my knowledge of how to give dogs the training and balance they need to thrive. About my yard Spacious backyard with fence and kiddie pool. My experience administering medication Yes, I have had to administer medication to my own pets for various problems and if they need it given a certain way, just let me know and I have no problem accommodating.

I left my dog with Elaine for 4 days and he loved it! She sent several pictures and took him for many walks. I felt very comfortable leaving him with her and will use her again next time!

Elaine is so good with animals! She loves to take them for long walks and puppy play dates. Dogs love her and feel completely at ease with her taking care of them. Elaine makes sure the dogs are well cared for and are basically in the lap of luxury while in her care.

Every time Elaine has watched my pets they always have a great time! She takes the time to play with them and walk them until they are ready to sleep. I have never encountered a problem with the condition my home is left in or the condition of my pets. I will be using her on a regular basis for my pet sitting needs!

Information Elaine B. would like to know about your pet

My biggest concern when meeting any animal is to know the temperament of the animal. I would never want to inadvertently place the animal or myself in a situation that could lead to negative outcomes. I would also want to know of the socialization of the animal with other pets and humans. And I have no breed restriction, it's not about the breed, it's about the upbringing. I am open to all breeds!

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks My subdivision has lots of room to walk, and we live next to a dog park! Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog is welcome to sleep where comfortable Time I'll spend with your dog Depending on the day I will be able to spend anywhere between 6-10 hours with your pet(s). Time I'll spend with your dog About 2-3 hours in the morning and all evening. If more time is needed for your pet to meet their daily needs please let me know and I can accommodate accordingly. Extra house-sitting services That would not be a problem at all. Such small task for me are not a burden to do. Your home is special to you and should be cared for as such. I am also experienced with any reptile care required. I have a reptile of my own, can give shots to snakes.
