Happiness is a wagging tail!
Pet care experience
My husband Bryan and I live in a spacious condo overlooking Lake Union, just steps from Lake Union Park and a short drive to Magnuson's phenomenal off-leash park. We share our home with a goofy, congenial pup named King, who is our best friend and companion. Although King is 9, he is pretty active for an older dude. We walk regularly, and he enjoys the dog park immensely (although he doesn't enjoy the car ride to get there!). He is the soul of kindness and hospitality, sharing his toys, bed, sofas, and human friends with all pups who stay with us, both young and old. While your pup stays with us, we will strive to provide a similar environment to what they experience at home, including maintaining schedules and routines. But mostly we will provide lots of love and cuddles between walks and play times.
Reviews
After reading great reviews about Elaina, we decided to reach out to her. We were a little concerned because Elaina has a dog and we were not sure how Buster would do with other dogs. She invited us over to her place for a meet and greet between Buster and King. After the meet and greet we were 100% sure that we wanted to leave Buster with Elaina. During Buster’s stay Elaina kept sending updates and always responded to our messages right away with photos. We really appreciated the quick responses. Elaina also was fine with us coming late at night to pick up Buster so that we didn’t have to spend another night without Buster. We are so happy that we found Elaina through Rover and will definitely recommend her anytime of the day!! She is definitely our #1 choice if we have to find a place for Buster when we plan to go on vacation. Thanks Elaina!! Cheers Buster, Aparna and Sri
Mia had a great time staying with Elaina and King over Thanksgiving - she was spoiled rotten!
I was surprised to see all the great reviews about Elaina. She was the least interactive sitter I have had from Rover. She did not take many pics of Lokee. She did not always check in and check out like she was supposed to. I had to contact her to assure she was taking care of Lokee. I left her a Starbucks card as an extra thank you on Lokee's leash, she did not even say Thank You, so I had to text to assure she found it. At least Lokee was fed and taken out while I was away.
Elaina is great! Incredibly responsive to my many texts and requests, reliable, and dog savvy!

Information Elaina K. would like to know about your pet
Please provide us with the following information prior to your stay: - Does your furry friend suffer from any form of separation anxiety? If so, are there things that help comfort them? - What is your pup's feeding schedule? Are they a "grazer" (eating slowly either throughout the day, or at set times) or a "gobbler" (aka most labs we know - they vaccum their food down)? - Does your pup suffer from food or toy aggression? (Please be honest! This is not a deal breaker, but it helps us provide safe care.) - Do they have a set potty schedule? I.e. do they go out twice a day, or are they a "I go out whenever I feel like it" type of pup? We can accommodate most things, but it's nice to know in advance as we learn to communicate with a new pup!
A typical day
We generally walk down to and around South Lake Union Park; there is a good walking path there (sometimes, weather permitting, we even attempt to walk all the way around the lake which is several miles!) and lots of good smells for canine companions to enjoy. Weather permitting, and your dog's activity level and socialization abilities permitting, we will go out to Magnuson park or to the off-leash park at Golden Gardens. At home, my husband and I are both down-on-floor-cuddles type of people, so you'll usually find us lounging around with pups on the heated floors or throwing the tennis ball until our arms tire out.
