When I was 2 years old my Dad brought home an 8 week old German Shepherd we named Kelly and we grew up together. I have loved dogs ever since and so does my husband Howie (he also had a German Shepherd growing up named Shadow). We married in our 40's and weren't able to have kids and since we knew we wanted to rescue a pup soon so I started to walk some pups in the neighborhood to get some practice and before I knew it Howie & I started to be known as the dog whisperers of Kew Gardens. I am President of the local dog park (Forest PArk BArking Lot) which is very close if you like us to bring your pups there or we can do great walks in our very dog friendly neighborhood. We are very careful at the park but as you know there's always risk involved. We have experience with senior dogs, dogs with medical issues and I passed the PetTech pet CPR and First Aid Certification. I work at Trader Joe's and do catering and bake dog treats and we spoil your pets with healthy human food and homemade dog treats if you let us. Howie presently works from home so chances are your dog will always have someone around. We also are knowledgeable about dog training and helping with certain behavior modifications and believe in positive reinforcement with praise, affection, play or treats depending on what your dog responds best to. We have been doing this for awhile now and are mature and responsible people who absolutely adore all dogs. Our rescue Lennie "Briscoe" is a 5 year old Black Lab/German Shepherd mix who loves dogs of all sizes so as long as your pup and Briscoe get along after we meet it will be a great time for all of us especially your pup if you board with us. Many don't want to leave which is the goal!!!!! LOL
