I have never had a time in my life without dogs. I love everything about them. I am that person who stops you on the street to pet your dog! I just can't help myself, I love them all so much! I can promise you your pup will be in a safe and loving home. I live with my husband and two children when they are home from college. We are all CRAZY dog lovers! We have two dogs, one who lives with us and one who lives with my sister-in-law downstairs. Lily was a frequent Rover guest who's owner could no longer keep her. She is a mixed terrier who loves to play and is so patient with the other dogs. Lily is a love! Zoya is a sweet doodle who came to us as a Rover guest also. She was given up to us by her owners bc of a move out of state. They saw how much fun Zoya had with us and with much difficulty decided she would be better off here. She is a very sweet girl who loves everyone! Lily loves to chase squirrels in the yard and play with other dogs if they want,but she will also not bother other dogs if they prefer not to play. Lily is a pretty chill pup! Zoya just wants to spend 24 hrs a day being cuddled! My family spends a lot of time in the yard with the pups. We have a nice fireplace out there where we spend lots of evenings hanging out with the pups. We bring out the dog beds and they love being cozy by the fire and relaxing with the family! We have a fenced in yard with locks on the gates at all times. We have two doors exiting our home to the front porch that are always closed and locked. We have a permanent gate on the front porch. The gate is kept closed so our dogs can't escape off the porch in the unlikely event they got out the two doors from the house. Our biggest fear is having any pup, those that are guests, or our own, escaping from our home. We take this very seriously. Our highest priority is the safety of the pups! Your pup will never be in our fenced yard unattended. We stay outside with them at all times. You can have total peace of mind that your fur baby is getting the best care ever! Your pups can spend their days enjoying the company of people who love them, playing with our dogs in our fenced yard, resting on the porch with us while we have our morning coffee, long evenings in the yard playing and enjoying the warmth of the fireplace in the cooler weather and of course always LOTS of cuddles! You can be sure your dog will be happy and well cared for while you are away. We treat all the dogs as we do our own. We love them, comfort those who are nervous and spoil them as much as possible because they deserve it. Dogs are the best of our world, we appreciate and respect them for what they are. We understand that they are all unique and they all have their little quirks. We are just fine with that. We are very tolerant of our pups. We do not believe an animal should EVER be hit or punished. We believe in positive reinforcement with love and patience. We know that dogs want to please us. It is on us to help them understand WHAT pleases us, and the only way to accomplished this is with kindness and patience. The only time we "disipline" is if pups are getting too rough with each other, then we break out the dreaded squirt gun! Of course, we have a few dogs who like it, but either way it gets their attention and usually breaks up the rough play. Our home is very clean and well kept. I am a retired registered nurse so I am home all day to be with your pup. I have a special room in my basement that we built just for the pups to play. I stay down there with them so they are never alone. I get to sit down there and watch dogs play....couldn't ask for a better retirement than that, pure joy! We can provide your precious pet a safe and loving vacation, with LOTS of love, hugs, belly rubs and playtime. What could be better than that?
