I love all types of dogs from tea cup sizes to large breeds. I've had the pleasure of having dogs in my life since I was a little child. I also volunteered at the SPCA in two counties and routinely helped with traveling with the dogs to get them "out there" to special functions or hang out with them in front of pet stores to get them adopted! My first dog was Bambi--a mixed breed dog we adopted when I was 4 years old. We had him until I was about 17 years old. My parents then got two miniature Schnauzers, however, I moved out shortly thereafter but loved to visit them and take them for walks and out to play. I used to love teaching them tricks as well. When I bought a house in 2010, I adopted Diesel, a 7 month old German Shepherd/Pitt Bull mix from the SPCA and then about 4 years later I got Mina, a Doberman Pinscher. Since I owned such "controversial" breeds, I made sure to thoroughly educate myself and also took both dogs to several months of K-9 training classes, where we all learned a lot! I take pride in my dogs and their behavior.
