All my life I’ve loved to be around animals! From the age of 5 I have had the opportunity to bond with many different animals. From my own parrot, Jumpy, to my neighbors dogs Dolly and my absolute favorite, Dashiel (my best friends dog). I would say I really knew I loved animals when I convinced my grandmother to bring a stray chicken home with us instead of taking it for “other purposes” (we were living in Ghana at the time). I also fell in love with my best friends dog, Dash. Coming from a household that had a perpetual fear of dogs, I didn’t really know any until I met Dash. He was the sweetest and most friendly dog I had ever met and he made me understand that animals are very sweet and loving. In my current neighborhood, there are a plethora of pets, especially cats! Cats are jumping into my yard all the time looking for something to nibble on. They’re usually very calm and mind their business, which I like about them. I think what sets me apart from other sitters is that unlike most, I didn’t grow up with dogs and cats but rather, grew to love them on my own terms. I think that makes me unique and shows that I just genuinely love animals (dogs & cats in particular) rather than inherently loving them from having them around as a child.
