Pet care experience
When I was a kid, my parents bred English Bulldogs. Even as a child, I learned the responsibility of taking care of animals. I routinely helped my mom with the puppies and have grown to love dogs ever since then. Currently, I do not have any pets of my own which means I am extra loving toward all of the animals I come into contact with. I would be honored to love on your dog or cat. I am a graduate student studying clinical psychology. I am passionate about helping others and enjoy both people and animals. I am respectful, responsible, hard working, and have great time management. I want to make a difference in this world and helping people and their pets is one way to do that.

Time and time again, we have nothing to worry about when Edith cares for our home and energetic cattle dog mix. She can handle it. And she does. And we are so glad to be free to not worry.
Edith is reliable. We have called on her multiple times for our rambunctious dog, and we always come home to a well cared for dog and a home where all is in order. I appreciate her clear communication and her flexibility.

When sitting for your pup, I make it a point to keep everything clean and tidy. Unless specifically told not to, I will put used towels and linens in the washer and start the dishwasher before l leave your home. If something happens (spills, muddy paws, etc.) I'll also sweep and mop. I want to make sure you come back into a clean space. I take care of the dogs by playing with them throughout the day and following all care instructions provided. My ultimate goal, when staying in your home, is to build trust with you and your animals and provide the best care possible while you're away. When performing drop in visits, I make it a point to play with each animal and let them out. I will change their water at least once a day and feed them on their schedule. I make sure to keep the space clean and give your dogs my full attention when dropping in for a visit. For dog walking, I love to walk through nice neighborhoods or to the dog park (if this is something you allow).

A typical day
I love playing with dogs and their toys. I enjoy going on walks with dogs, especially around quiet neighborhoods. I also love just sitting with them while I do work or when they need some rest, petting them and letting them know I am there.

Availability
I am currently in the doctor of clinical psychology program at George Fox University. In addition to classes, I work a few other part time jobs. As you can imagine, I am quite busy. Keeping that in mind, I try to be with your pets as much as possible when housesitting but during the week, I have to be away from them for extended periods of time (8+ hours). There are a few exceptions to this, so please reach out and ask and I will do my best to make sure your pups are well loved and cared for! Due to my busy schedule, I try to stay within 30 minutes of Newberg. If you're outside of that, I would still be happy to chat with you, but be aware I may have to be gone for longer periods of time to account for commutes/traffic. If something in my schedule or Rover preferences don't quite meet your needs, please feel free to reach out. I am happy to do my best to accommodate you and your pet's needs! Additionally, I am happy to care for all sorts of animals, so if you have a bunny, a pig, chickens, or anything else, just let me know!
