I'll take your dog on hikes with me

Pet care experience

I am 29 years old and I have been walking, sitting, and training for over 12 years. I have a BS in Zoology and absolutely love everything about animals. I worked as a CNA for several years so I have lots of patience and am not afraid of messy dogs. I love working with dogs and finding out each individual animal's quirks, character traits, and preferences. I love the outdoors and go hiking at least once a week with at least one significant hike a month. Whatever needs your pet may have, I am confident that I am capable of meeting them. Your pets will be safe, comfortable, and well looked after when they are in my care. My German Shepherd has been my buddy for 10 years and he is the reason I love working with dogs so much! I’m currently working from home so i have plenty of time to give your pup all the attention they need! I love working with dogs and seeing them thrive in a healthy environment. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs that will be happy to have a new play mate. My dogs are comfortable inside or outside in case your pup prefers being left alone so we are able to accommodate virtually any dog’s needs.

Edgar was great! One of our dogs was quite shy, but even she made friends with Edgar by end of stay. Both dogs had lots of room to run around and play, and Edgar even had crates for them. At the end of their stay, Edgar helped bring their food out to the car and even remembered my daughter's name at pickup. Would definitely ask him to watch again!

I was not very pleased with this booking at all. I texted him the day before and gave him details about my sweet dog and instructions on when to feed and stuff like that and I did not get a reply. Then I texted that morning to say that we would be on the way soon, no reply. I then called 3 times and he finally answered and at this point I asked if it was still okay if she came and he said yes. When I get there I bring her to the door and I meet Edgar at the door and hand her off. He doesn’t offer to show me where she’ll be staying or anything. I only heard other dogs barking inside and that was it. I then had to message for an update because he did not give one. I asked a question after the update and he didn’t reply for 4 hours so I texted again and asked if she was still doing okay. He apologized and said he got busy after work and that she was doing good. I understand getting busy but my dog is my baby and if a babysitter doesn’t reply to you for 5 hours, you’re not going to suspect anything good. I will not be booking again & I read some of the other reviews and it sounds like this is a habit.

Please let me know what energy level your dog is as well as how they like to exercise. My philosophy is that a tired dog is a good dog! If your dog is uncomfortable with other dogs or is especially reactive to something in particular please let me know so we can keep everyone comfortable and safe.

A typical day

Fetch is an absolutely crucial part of our day. Both of my dogs love to play multiple times a day and we take several breaks from work at the computer to make sure they get the exercise they need. We often break up our routine by going for walks in the neighborhood or learning a new trick to keep mental stimulation up as well.
