I live with my brother and my two border collie mixes. We have a great 1200 sq foot apartment between Parker and Lone Tree. We take frequent trips to the dog park to get energy out and socialize outside. I grew up in a dog family, and have had dogs all my life. My dogs are apart of my family, they sleep with me and are welcome anywhere in the house. When we travel, they have seatbelts in the back of the car. When they are home alone, they are crated together because they miss each other in differing crates. I do prefer that your dogs be crate trained; it gives peace of mind regarding safety and accidents while I am not home. If they are well behaved and over the age of two, I will make an exception. It is also preferable that your dog have a feeding schedule rather than being a free eater. My dogs eat at 6am and 6pm. I usually do not accept last minute reservations as this doesn’t give enough time to plan and do a meet and greet. There are extreme exceptions in case of emergency. I have experience with agility work, service dog training, basic obedience, and tricks. I believe that dogs are naturally trusting and loving and that is how I view obedience; treats for good behavior, no treats for bad. I would never hit or yell at a dog, they don't understand punishment; but respond well to reward. I have experience with pills, eye drops, senior dogs, ear drops, and disabled dogs.
