My name is Dylan Underwood. I’m 24 and I have been working as a Veterinary (Nurse) Technician for eight years now. I have had dogs literally my entire life and I have also had cats, reptiles, fish, rabbits and a guinea pig. I currently have two dogs and three cats which you can see below on my profile. They all have really great temperaments and all get along well with each other, however, when I am sitting a client’s pet in my home they won’t be involved just to avoid any incidents with each other. This is not because I don’t trust them with other animals, I’d just prefer to be as safe as possible when I’m watching your babies! I have two semesters left of school and I will have an associates degree and be fully licensed and certified as a Veterinary Technician in the state of South Carolina. I have experience with dogs/cats of all sizes and most breeds. I have knowledge and experience in dog training, medical needs, and vaccines/nutrition. I will always go the extra mile for the needs and happiness of your pet. If you have specific rules for your pets like not being allowed on the furniture or not getting to eat table food, I will follow your rules/instructions, this is a guarantee. I can work with old/sick animals and puppies/kittens comfortably. If your pet has a medical condition that is perfectly fine with me, I can follow any set medicine schedule (Oral, Subcutaneous, and Intravenously). I also have access to veterinarians that I have worked for if any question comes up that I cannot answer myself, but that would only be needed if in an emergency. I also would never hesitate to take your pet to the emergency clinic if they were in need of immediate medical attention. I have a very strong passion for animals and have chose to spend my life working in this field. I truly love them all and can’t wait to meet yours!

DYLAN IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I returned home late Sunday from a trip and my dog was feeling unwell. I unfortunately was required to be on campus the entire following day and I was extremely worried about leaving my fur baby alone. I messaged Dylan at 12:35 in the morning to see if he would be able to/willing to watch my pup later that same morning. He is an absolute gem and messaged back and forth with me (while I freaked out about how bad my dog was feeling) until 2 AM. He is extremely knowledgeable and gave me really helpful advice. He then came over later that morning and took care of Czech while I was at school. He sent multiple detailed updates which helped ease my anxieties. I've messaged him extra questions since he came over and he is always so willing to help. Dylan is the absolute kindest and I cannot thank him enough for being there for Czech last minute! Czech and I will always be SO grateful for him and his kindness.

I do not have any breed or size preferences! It would be preferred during the first time with your pet that you or someone familiar be there to comfortably introduce me to him/her just to make sure everything goes smoothly. Before sitting and/or walking your pet I would like to know the following, any medical problems, any behavioral or aggression problems (dog, food and/or human aggressive). I would need to know if your pet is on any prescriptions and when they should be given, also the feeding schedule (how much and how often). Also how your pet does when riding in the car if that is something you allow. Lastly if your pet has any issues from things like thunderstorms or separation anxiety.
A typical day
Fun, lengthy walks in mine or your neighborhood and I will take dogs to safe walking/nature trails if owner approved. There will also be fun exercise/play time indoors and outdoors (if able). During my time with your pet I will take pictures and send updates often or as much as you’d like! At any time of day you’re welcome to contact me for an update, if I’m asleep or away from my phone I will get back in touch with you as soon as I can. Water will be provided at all times, and food will be provided at the times allowed by the client. Treats and food will need to be provided by the client to avoid any dietary issues, also toys and beds need to be provided by the client as well! I don’t mind cleaning and washing your dog beds, blankets, and toys if needed. I will also keep your home clean and treat it as if it were mine. I can promise that you’ll return to your home in the same condition if not better than when you left. I also do not mind getting the mail or getting your trash can ready for pick up day! I will be there for a little while in the mornings, then if I have any personal stuff or other dogs to walk I may leave for a little bit during the day, then return in the afternoon/evening to stay the night. If I do leave during the day it will never be for more than a few hours, I want to spend as much time with your baby as possible!
